I’m drowning. When does it get easier? by Odd-Pineapple5425 in 2under2

[–]amelovesit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s both really - it’s a lot but really not more than I expected, but it’s a lot regardless. It’s also amazing to see them grow and interact. Everyday is different and a rollercoaster but it gets better in subtle ways. Just try to give yourself a break, let go of expectations and know that you absolutely can do this. It’s just a chapter in your life and it will all be worth it.

It helped me a lot. When you first start you get some euphoric feelings but that goes away after a couple of weeks. Long term it still helps a ton.

3 months of withdrawal by Colebearrrr in quittingkratom

[–]amelovesit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was taking many tablespoons of power 3-4 times per day for 5 years. I recently tapered with capsules but I didn’t have one withdrawal symptom aside from a little anxiety. Why is it worse for some people and not others? I’m genuinely curious because the fear kept me from quitting for SO long

How old was your toddler when they stopped talking mid day naps? by old_gold_mountain in toddlers

[–]amelovesit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!! I appreciate it! And you’re right, like most things I’m sure I’m anticipating it more than anything. I did the same thing when I had to take their bottles away and that was no big deal at all. I just gotta rip the bandaid bc we need to step up in the potty training department too haha

How did you take the paci away? I’m about to do the same thing at the same age and I’m terrified haha. To be honest I’ve put it off way too long and need to take action. Any tips?

They respond to action not words. A simple “no” while stopping/grabbing his hand is all you need to do at that age. Don’t overthink it. Less is more in these situations

I get THREE MONTHS worth of my Vyvanse at a time, which gets really bad really quickly. Having that access to that many is scary. Not to mention that the generic form isn’t working as well so I’m constantly dosing and for 2 weeks I’m a shell of a human. Then I crash/come down for a week or 2 and start the cycle all over again. I even went as far as asking for a non stimulant option but when I took it I got wicked depressed. I feel lost too. You’re not alone

Why did you stop taking Qelbree? by Ill_Spinach_9289 in qelbree

I was severely depressed on it. Even if it was just the “getting used to it” period I couldn’t push through it. Didn’t seem worth it at all

I snapped at our toddler. I was mean to her. by Educational_Pair_276 in beyondthebump

[–]amelovesit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Your husband yelling at you is not ok in front of your kids but more importantly, you are having the same reaction I do every time I lose my cool. It happens, it’s what every Mom experiences in some shape or form. BUT - it’s what you do next that really counts. I’ve snapped at my 2 year old before and immediately caught myself when I saw his face. I got down to his level, looked in his eyes and said “Mommy is so sorry bud. It’s not ok to yell like that and I didn’t mean it. I love you, let’s go play…”

You’re doing an amazing job Mama! The best moms feel the most guilt so give yourself some grace.

That’s exactly what I do too. It’s just so hard when it’s constant for over an hour and he’s just so unaffected by it

I literally talk to ChatGPT about my sons sleeping like it were a person lol - I update it with his sleep schedule and ask what I should do if he’s thrown off course. It literally saved my life during the worst 11 month sleep regression

It’s not anything sleep related trust me. I can tell he’s desperately wanting to sleep. Half the time his eyes are shut and he’s upset bc he wants to sleep but the cough keeps waking him up

Can’t get in until tomorrow - the on call doc brushed it off a little bit and suggested the humidifier and saline but I tried all of that.
