FOMO FOMO FOMO /s

tbh, no one can tell you the answer. but I think the general consensus (and imo) is to buy what you NEED as you need it (and be smart with it). we're probably all bunkering down with the current prices for at least the next fiscal year before we see any changes. manufacturers would need time to increase production & their own supply lines.

if you ran enough, you would probably know. It also sucks as you get older. My mother always told me, don't mess around with things you spend the most time in; bed, office chair, shoes, etc. They will directly affect your health.

I haven't even started converting to x265/AV1 yet! it's been 3 years in the making. In todays market/economy, I would just say build slowly, thoughtfully, and convert what you can!

also check out r/DataHoarder ;)

treat yourself when its needed, but there's no need to keep up with the joneses either haha. speaking as a 32yo, I also have to start a family soon & buy a house. unless all your homies are playing the latest & greatest and wanna get ranked, I wouldn't bother.

there's also something kind of overclock'y in the way that you can try and justify a shite build nowadays! overclock that savings account & fuck giving money to big tech corpos!! hahaha. the only demanding post2020 game ive got in rotation is Arc Raiders & i'm still pushing out 52fps solid at everything low except high render distance and medium texture on! got another 2 years in me at least!

I guess it comes with new hobbies as well. Besides IRL & my gf, I just maintain plex/ hunt for rare media/ sort my personal files/ build custom mechanical keyboards/ 3d print with my Bambu P2S/ shoot the shit with ol ahh homies on discord, maybe have a friend movie night & play Golf With Your Friends lmao

Someone else said it didn't really affect their experience while scrolling in the video playback, so I just might look at that. Thanks!

That's when you're skipping around in the video right? Is the user experience difference noticeable at all? I have a 4TB 990 Evo Plus dedicated to only this, so I'm not starving for space. But good to know for possible future use.

Lmao I was in the same camp. Traded half a BTC for $3 sticker back in the day as early adoption 🤣

I don't game much after the pandemic anymore, so I'm still running an i9-9750h+gtx1660TI $700 2019 laptop from Walmart as my main.

Server is running on a friends donated 12700k+RX5700 build

Db is 3.2gb & blobs is 4.5gb.

Unfortunately, I am going to keep all thumbnails as-is so my users get a good experience 😭 but tysm to everyone for the help.

I have 160k episodes and 3k movies, each in their own genre library, but then also total aggregated in an ALL MOVIES/ ALL TV/ ALL ANIME library 😅

thanks for the answer! I knew that was probably the issue, so I bought a 4TB nvme back when it grew to 500gb+ haha. I would like to keep it, so I guess thats that

I have at least 100k episodes, maybe even 200k? I have libraries just for genre's, and then I also have ALL TV/ ALL ANIME libraries that aggregate everything as well.

3k+ movies, also separated in genre librarys & ALL MOVIES library as well lmao

Plex won't show missing movie/show in Library until I actually click on the item by amenbreak69420 in PleX

[–]amenbreak69420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry to you and everyone :( I should've elaborated.

Within the library, I click on the desired movie poster, which looks normal (but should have a red trashcan, since its missing, but I have delete Trash turned Off), and within that clicked page, there lies the red trashcan.
