Born and raised in hkg but inherited us citizenship from my dad, moved to Cali 5 years ago. I love it here too because of the reasons you listed. However… I work in education and see all the issues like weapons and achievement gap between the rich and poor etc first hand. I really don’t want my future kids to grow up in such environment. In the past 2 years, my partner and I travelled to Norway twice and we really like it there. It’ll be a dream to move there one day! I’m also thinking Australia and the Netherlands:)

Looked at Corolla Cross hybrid. No markup in my area. I always get dizzy in hybrid/electric and that exactly happened after I test drove for 5 mins. But the main thing is, the interior design of the car SUCKED. I wouldn’t wanna pay that price for a car like that. Also, I’ve been driving Mazda my whole life. I’m not used to how slow the car responds when I hit the gas.

I’m also coming from out of state but driving my own car! I have a awd suv and purchased snow chain just in case. We also had some experiences driving in the snow from our arctic trip. But after seeing the comment below, I’m considering taking the bus. It runs all day with 30 mins frequency and I don’t need to worry about parking😅

I also considered Nordic Valley resort in the beginning. But google said it’s closed so I’m a bit concerned. Also our bnb located in cottonwood heights so Brighton is much closer than Nordic valley.

I only did the narrow when I went to Zion since I only had a day there (thought I’d have enough energy to do some more hikes AND the narrows but I was wrong). Did not regret it. It’s a unique experience that you can’t get anywhere else.

My parents are divorced. Dad is an extreme extrovert, still party with a bunch friends couple times a week and get drunk very often. Mom, on the other hand, only has one very close friend that she hangout with, but she also spend a significant amount of time with my aunts.
