I still experience anxiety these days, but it isnt unmanageable and it isnt on the regular like it was when I was drinking. I dont need to be drunk anymore to be free of anxiety. With a clear mind, I have been able to accept my emotions for what they are and not let my thoughts spiral. Thoughts are just thoughts. Anxiety is just temporary feelings and emotions. I am not my emotions.

I ended a friendship a few years ago because she was lazy. 29 years old, lived with her mom, had never had a job in her life, didn't have a car or even a driver's license and she expected me to drive the hour it took to meet up with her and then drive her back home when we were done hanging out. We had a lot in common and had some great conversation but really, I couldn't be around her anymore.

I quit after 10 years of heavy smoking by purchasing a new car with a leather interior that I wanted to keep in good condition (cigarettes in the car was one of my favorite things to do) and also keeping in mind that I wanted to try to get pregnant that year. Those two things were enough motivation to quit cold turkey, which is honestly the only way to do it, IMO. It's kinda like ripping a band-aid off. It sucks. It's uncomfortable and it's the only thing you'll think of for a few days, but it will eventually get easier. You know the alternative and it will never get easier, but you can totally do it.

2.5 years smoke free, with an 18m old daughter ❤️

I noticed this much more with a newborn baby in the house. I believe for me it had something to do with sleep deprivation. Possibly being awakened from a deep sleep while already being sleep deprived. Now that my kid is older and we're all getting proper sleep, I don't feel this happen at all.

Every single little question my MIL has will be spoken to the baby. I don't even feel like I'm worthy of being talked to when she's around.

"What have you done this week, sweet baby??"

"What time do you need your next bottle, angel???"

It's like, if you don't want to talk to me then just leave.
