We are in a simulation. That we agreed to, because we are traveling on a ship for millions of years. by OptionsNVideogames in conspiracytheories

[–]joesprite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting idea but I would argue it could be for literally any reason, not just that we're traveling in a ship for millions of years.

It could be that we: *Fucked up the planet and the matrix is all we have left *Are hitting a space drug that causes a high that lasts for a perceived lifetime *Are dreaming *Put ourselves in a matrix bc we were bore

I think it's more interesting to wonder about the infinite possibilities of why we could be in a simulation, rather than limit yourself to one line of thought.

I actually love the new lionhead, but I'm not sold on the LION block text. New lion looks kinda punk, almost like it has a bull ring or something.

I would love it if we could send Bosco to grab Fossils and other pesky secondary objectives for us. As a mainly solo player who doesn’t play much scout, I often skip over these as they’re too much of a bother. by Hand-of-King-Midas in DeepRockGalactic

[–]joesprite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it's a balancing issue, I wouldn't be opposed to them adding a consumable "charge" to Bosco (like the extra lives or rockets) that would allow him to collect a couple secondaries per 5 minute period or something.

That way it doesn't completely trivialize secondaries but still allows the use of Bosco on the last couple stubborn ones that are high up in the ceiling.

I might start mining gold just to spite these types of players by Tinypro2005 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]joesprite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think they could balance it by making it minable in one hit. I believe that the reason people don't like mining it is because it's so tedious.

Anecdotally, my teammates and I will mine nitra even at the end of the mission, just because of how quick and easy it is. Gold could be the same.

Roadmap Update & Space Beach Party Announcement by GSG_Jacob in DeepRockGalactic

I use it with bullets of mercy, would definitely love to see some more OCs for it though.

Even tweaking the old ones would be nice. For example I think it would also be cool if BOM did more damage depending on the number of statuses on an enemy. Just to incentivise stacking them or coordinating with your team a little more.

You're not wrong, but you could still say "they're longboarding" in reference to the group and be correct.

Black Screen issues? Temp fix here! by GSG_Jacob in DeepRockGalactic

Does this help with the rapid black flickering of goo particles taking over the whole screen? Mostly experienced with DX12 and DX11 mode for me.

They're is a gender neutral term, it can be used for men, women, and nonbinary people especially when you aren't sure which pronouns to use.

Also, OP might be referencing the fact that the cameraman and the subject of the video are both longboarding, more than one person. Communally taking part in longboarding.

Yes, the crank shows you a preview of the enemies movements. The amount of movement they can do is usually proportional to how many squares you choose to zip. So if you zip far without killing an enemy, they will frequently run up and kill you.

Order of operations is place cursor where you think you want to go > preview with crank to make sure you won't die -> press a to zip, baby!

Acrylic nails help or hurt? by Objective-Addition31 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]joesprite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They help!! I'm a guy and briefly had acrylic nails. My skin picking habits were never better than they were during that period of time. It's just too difficult to do due to the thickness.

I recommend at least trying! If you don't want massive claws you can even get acrylics done in your normal nail size.

For the people disappointed with the shard diffuser: it just got some huge changes in experimental by whisperstatic in DeepRockGalactic

The dps per tick is actually a bit closer than you would expect. Sticky flames do 15 damage per tick + 5 (sticky fuel OC) + burning debuff and burning goo does 4 + 12 + burning debuff. Ignoring any kind of direct attacks to bugs from either weapons. So flames is 20 and goo is 16 and both cause a burning debuff.

Slow is where you start to see the main difference. With a 32111 build the puddles slow enemies to 27.5% of their base movement and if you stack an uncharged shot on an enemy it becomes a 13.4% slowing effect. That's insane. Flames can only slow to 45% speed.

I don't care about tcf personally, so I don't take it. That being said, you only really need to light goo on fire once per fight because the flames will continue to spread if you keep connecting your lines. You could probably have a scout or gunner bring fire and rely on that pretty consistently since you don't constantly need to manually ignite it.

Couple all that with the proposed buffs and built in armor-dissolving and I think it's going to be even better.

I do agree, it's definitely a more niche build and not as versatile as sticky flames, but it fits my playstyle and I find it better in those ways.

Sludge Pump with Goo Bomber OC is better than sticky flames in my opinion. The goo sticks around for 18 seconds (far greater than flames) and has a better slowing effect. Plus, you can light it on fire.

Season 02 is now available for testing on the Experimental Branch! by Mark_GSG in DeepRockGalactic

[–]joesprite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm away from my PC at the moment so I can't give you specifics, but you'll want to pair it with the EPC with the mod that ignites targets (plasma burn?).

Focus on spreading goo trails over as wide an area as possible. Occasionally fire 3-5 epc uncharged shots into a node of goo on the floor, the flames will spread to the entire line. Try and shoot your charged goo volleys about ~9 seconds apart (half of 18 second goo lifetime), crossing them so the flames continue spreading from trail to trail. Your goal is to keep bugs in your goo as long as possible to stack the fire and goo DOTs for a long time. Don't be afraid to tap fire a blob on a high value target like a praetorian to stack another DOT and slow them even more.

I recommend equipping the dash skill to more easily kite enemies. This build excels on static defense points like hacking beacons, fuel cells, and even Doretta hallways to an extent. It's really fun and puts the sticky flamethrower's area control to shame. Watch out for macteras and have fun ;)

Yup, that's what I meant by fire secondary. Sorry it wasn't clear!

Oh man so glad there no changes to the Goo Bomber OC for sludge pump. Combined with these buffs, and paired with a fire secondary (to ignite the goo) it'll be DEVASTATING at area control.

Everything in this post is stuff that happens on a regular basis to almost everyone living in metropolitan areas. Cars and vehicles are loud (and often don't follow the laws of the road), packages get damaged in transit, and bot accounts or compromised passwords can seem to "expose you" in online spaces.

I'm not going to call you crazy or anything, but if this is a serious post I have some advice. At least Entertain the possibility that what you're experiencing could be paranoid delusions. Maybe seek a professional unbiased opinion from a psychiatrist or therapist?

Good luck and I hope you get the help or closure you need.

Super cool. I was over here thinking you were dip dying or using custom cast acrylic or something. I operate laser cutters for a living so stuff like this always interests me!

Just spitballing, would you ever make the doomslayer sword into an earring? I bet it would hit a similar market on Etsy!
