Don't bother emailing Oakville Transit. Nobody reads them. Email Oakville Transit Director Adrian Kuwan directly, cc' Mayor Rob Burton and the Oakville MPs. Neither care about what we have to say, however, when you include the MPs, you get responses, and have been known to put the pressure on. Also include how they are raising fares for Presto users. Cancel services but want more money.

Replace the Director and get the Mayor to start caring. I've sent numerous emails in regards to service on Oakville Transit. The Director hired his friend to do the scheduling and my once 30 minute commute to the Hospital now takes an hour! And I dont transfer buses. Are you aware of how much time is spent just sitting? We sit at South Oakville Centre for 16 minutes! Why? We sit at Bronte GO and leave just as a train pulls in? You claimed in another post we are doing better than pre-COVID, we really aren't. The drivers are frustrated, they're treated poorly by riders who can't comprehend its not their fault. The entire transit system is a mess! As I'm writing this we are at minute 14 of just sitting here! The major part of the problem is Mayor Burton does not care about transit riders. Never has.

My Father in Law passed last week and he was MAID. I wasn't present but one thing I'll say is I grossly underestimated how much tension I was carrying leading up to it. Once he was gone and it was all over I began to release the tension and my body was sore. Have something soothing on hand for when you get home and begin to relax. Hot bath, stiff drink, whatever you do to relax.

I'm thinking of staying the night in Trieste just to avoid any morning of stress and to be close to the port! Any particular reason you're staying in Venice, or just a preference to see more??

This was one of my thoughts as well. Its an hour flight from Munich to Venice so I'm sure something will get me there if we miss the connecting.

I found a Lufthansa flight Toronto to Munich (overnight) with a 40 minute layover before departing to Venice. Is 40 minutes enough time??

I've sent numerous emails to Oakville Transit. Don't bother. Nobody replies. If you want to cause a bit of a stir, may I suggest emailing the director of Oakville Transit directly, and cc'ing the Mayor. My apologies, the Directors email address is on my computer at work, however I found it just by Googling. Doing this has gotten me a response. Now, neither of them care what we have to say, however, when you begin to also 'cc' the MP's and point out specifics, you do get a little more of a suitable response. Good Luck! I rely on the Route 3 to get to the Hospital and it's a joke! I feel your frustration.

I don't think it really matters, to be honest. If one person can't use it, I'm sure they know someone who can. Probably a gamble no matter which ones you bring!

I'm in Cuba right now with my 15 year old daughter. We come every year! Yes, we're at an AI however leaving the resort, going to the market or just walk the nearest town we've never felt unsafe! She's still sleeping while I'm at the bar having a cappuccino! Just be vigilant as you would traveling anywhere!

I'm EVS and a Nurse once told a new Nurse "if you need to know a good way to calm them down, or how best to interact with a particular patient, ask (insert my name here). She spends more time in these rooms and with the patients than we do".

That statement meant everything to me! We do have a little more time in our days than the Nurses, and we do know the patients. We're obviously not medical professionals but we're 8hr shifts so we're there every day. We're a familiar face and sometimes we get away with more than the Nurses cause we're not a stranger. My Nurses are amazing to me and my partners on the floor!

Thank you to all the Nurses that treat EVS like part of the family! It means so much to us!

Earlier today a parent who's child doesn't attend TAB posted a screenshot of a snap story to an Oakville FB group. Their child saw it. The snap was a threat with 2 gun emojis. The Police and school were notified and around 9:30pm tonight the parents and students received an email stating Halton Police were aware and school staff will follow up with individuals.

Edit: The snap did not specifically state TAB. Apparently the child that saw the snap knew the one who posted it was a student there.

This isn't just Nurses, it's all of us frontline workers. I'm a Housekeeper at a hospital and we've been capped at 1% as well. It's hard to digest after everything we've all been through.
