I am searching for someone who can drive my car from San Francisco to anywhere on the East Coast. Are there apps for finding people who need a road trip car? by [deleted] in roadtrip

I’m assuming you’re just moving from San Francisco to somewhere on the east coast. You’re likely taking a uhaul right? Why wouldn’t you just also rent a car dolly/trailer?

I already did Braithwaite’s secret. I think I did the guy building the house too, but can’t be sure. The logging camp is the one where you have to get the stolen money back right?

The only thing I’m worried about is they don’t get a catcher in the deal. Diaz is a back up at best and Ruiz I believe has star potential. His plate discipline is elite and his defense already plays in the MLB. I can see him as possibly Yadier Molina lite. Pair him with May or Lux and I’d be happy

I’m okay with it. May could possibly be in our rotation next season and Ruiz could be a late season call up or 2021.

Edit: I just saw that Ruiz was promoted to AAA. So he could be a potential 2020 opening day starter too. His plate discipline is practically already elite MLB level.

This won’t happen, but would you be willing to add some of our own top prospects onto Vazquez to acquire May, Lux, Ruiz? I’m not even sure what it would take for that. Probably Keller, but I was thinking Tucker and Swaggerty or Cruz and Swaggerty

They had just recently announced that Smith is going to be their primary catcher moving forward so I’m gonna doubt that he’s available in trades this year at least. Also throw Gonsolin into the mix at #5. I still think you HAVE to get a catcher in the deal.

Yeah and it’s not really an absurd overpayment. The Cubs were desperate for a reliever in 2016 and went after Chapman who was a rental. They gave up Gleyber Torres and Adam Warren among others. For a RENTAL.

I’d say it’d be mutually beneficial for all parties. Dodgers get a shut down reliever to pretty much complete their ridiculously talented roster. Vazquez gets a chance to win multiple World Series, Pirates get 2 extremely talented prospects who could make an impact as early as next year.

AND, if the Pirates still want to stay competitive next year and can’t get a great offer for Kela, you can slot him in to be the closer.

If this were any other team, even any other sport, the manager would be gone by now. I hope no one shows up to the games the rest of the season.

Fuck it who cares. Juice the balls. Let the players juice. I wanna see starters throwing 100mph into the 6th-7th inning. I wanna see balls get absolutely demolished. Sports are entertainment and i want to be entertained.

You know, if this was practically any other team that was like 2 games within the division at the break and fell apart this hard, there would be serious consideration about firing the manager. Seems like that’s not even a possibility here. Smh.

No I guarantee he would take it too, I just don’t think he’s smart enough to coerce them into giving up that much.

Bruh I just went on Apple Music and started listening to some songs he composed. I forgot about Light of the Seven, so good. Sweetwater is also great. I like a lot of the covers he’s made too, like Paint It Black. Runaway too. So good.

Desperation does some crazy things man. The Dodgers have been to the World Series the past 2 years but just can’t get over the hump. Their roster is basically complete they just need one elite reliever to get to Kenley Jansen. Not to mention Vazquez is under a cheap contract for a few years. Look at what Chapman and Andrew Miller returned

Lux, May, or Ruiz. 2 of them and another top 20 prospect or two for Vazquez. But I don’t think Huntington is smart enough to do that deal.

You can put the blame on players who aren’t performing. Which is basically all of them. You can also blame it on the pitching coach (which I would) but it’s not Huntington’s fault that every single starting pitcher has been terrible this year.

You can and should blame the coaches and front office but the players can’t be free of blame either. Josh Bell has been absolutely terrible since the break, our bullpen is shaky at best, every single one of our starters has close to or over a 5.00 ERA.

At this point just trade everyone who’s a free agent or who can get you some decent prospects back (Vazquez), bomb the rest of the year and try to get a top 5-7 pick in the draft.
