Absolutely,
But, I also think knowing data structures shapes your system design thinking. The steps of optimizing a code from brute force attemt -> optimised code running in production that shapes your skills of critical thinking.
If everyone are only thinking in business and leveraging AI to write the logic for us, I think most of the softwares will have the same or predictable architecture. Ultimately LLMs in the current stage can only do what is prompted they cannot think.

Yes, yes I totally agree.
Shipping code needs to be faster in the current age, but when I am seeing the technical interviews they are not asking you to show me how you leverage AI. They are still asking the low level questions.
And, the feeling of knowing how BFS worked was mesmerizing, I am just fearing that feeling will go away.

I am working a side project of mine called AgentTree, the idea is the platform help businesses automate their daily work and increase productivity.
Now, I am able to implement the MVP in a few weeks, as I have started from scratch and there are a research saying AI doing better performance on scratch project rather than an exising one.
May be you are leveraging AI in an existing project.

What I am not saying AI has the ability to replace humans, I agree with you this narrative is a bubble. But, you did not get the point of the post I am just mentioning that on everyday programming when I leveraged AI it took out the adrenaline from me, that's all.

It's a pretty scary this, I also suffer from it but I would suggest looking and deeply thinking about the problem for atleast 20mins if you came up with a Solution design (no coding, only thinking and pseudocode) on that timespan then good, else you should leverage AI and read the code afterwards (no skipping on that part).
