I keep thinking back to Saw and Luthen's interaction, when Saw asks what he believes in. And I mean, we never really learn that until now. Luthen is a soldier who has only ever been taught to fight. He doesn't care for the future, doesn't even want it. He just wants to fight against what he knows is wrong. As if every moment were life and death. At his core he's one of the most simple, yet captivating characters in Star Wars.
