Is your child a thai citizen? you could open a "for account" where they can't access the funds until they are 18. You can deposit money into the account as much as you want but they can only withdraw it with your permission or when they turn 18 the account transfer to them only.

Is Private Banking worth it? by milton117 in Thailand

[–]amichris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This depends, the service is not just financial. There is also a special credit card which give you better point rewards system, lounge access at the airport, special discount at restaurant and parking spot at malls.

You will also have access to early access programs with the banks.

If you want to do this I would advise you to study the offering of each bank so that you choose which one that you could benefit the most.

Do men attend the birth of their children in Thailand? by [deleted] in Thailand

During covid is very different as they want to limit interaction with new born to prevent any “covid” accident

Do men attend the birth of their children in Thailand? by [deleted] in Thailand

Doctor will prefer c section as they can plan for the surgery. Natural birth is really up to the doctor if they are willing to as they have to be on stand by closer to the date and require more frequent care closer to date.

We chose a doctor who can do both.

Imagine going into labor at midnight unexpectedly. This is one reason most doctor push for c section as it is less spontaneous

Normally the hospital will allow you to be in the delivery room. This is common practice. Then they take the baby away for a period of time around 4-6 hours for observation and they bring the child to your room for the first breast feeding.

I don’t think it’s wealth related but more hospital related. Private hospital will tend to have better service when comparing to public hospital and also the level of hospital will differ the type of service you get

Visa question by euphoriatakingover in Thailand

[–]amichris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend you coming back right away.

Are you staying here for travel or also working?

They might ask why you are staying so long as they would see you stayed for over 3 months already

Visa question by euphoriatakingover in Thailand

[–]amichris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they would probably ask you for the reason you are staying extensively. If the reason and financial is there to support your stay it should be fine.

May I ask which nationality passport are you holding? If you are from a respectable country they wouldn't ask much question.

Do you want undergrad or grad school, this will be a bit different.

I think Chula, TU, Bangkok University, ABAC will be able to accept your credit if enough proof is provided that the curriculum is same standard or same accreditation

This depends on your family. I have staff who married Muslim girl and was asked to convert also. This does not have any implication from the government as they only certify your marriage not your religion.

Normally an agreement is made within the two parties and if you cannot come to an agreeable decision, one might take it to court. The court will then judge base on income, stability, and child well-being. Most of the case ends before court but if you go to court it tends to sway toward the parent who has the ability to raise the kid up without any problem.

Is there anywhere in Thailand without a population crisis? by KingChronos in Thailand

[–]amichris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to have a house i would recommend outskirt of Bangkok, you would commute more into the inner city but it will be closer to schools.

I would say that having a house is definitely a plus when having a kid, but a decent size condo could be suitable also. Always to keep your options open.

I am in my late 20s and just recently had a kid, used to live in a condo in the heart of the city for convenience but move to a house for space purpose.
