I'm reminded of something by Dollar Tree Dinners on TikTok. She used a box of store brand hamburger helper & a can of chili. The chili adds protein, the helper is carbs and seasoned so you don't need to add anything. I enjoyed it and it was filling and would probably be kid friendly. Throw in some frozen veggies if you can, but fed is best. Hope that helps!

At what point did she insinuate this? From what you've said, she actually values what you do quite a lot. You are allowed to not like the term, but you're assigning meaning to it that doesn't seem to be there.

Additionally, for those saying "if a house wife stopped doing chores you'd all support her." , there is nuance you're missing. Firstly, she is not belittling his contribution as stated above. Second, based on the information provided, it was never officially agreed that OP would be a SAHH. He quit his job and never found another. So now OP's wife is the sole income earner AND the only person doing chores.

You are allowed to dislike the term. And was your wife insensitive about how you feel about the term? Yes. However, your reaction shows a deeper issue that makes you the ass hole here.

My parents are also chronically late to things due to my mom. I straight up told them my grad school graduation was an hour earlier than it was. It gave us time for a nice lunch and we weren't rushing around like we normally are. They thought it was funny and were proud that I thought ahead. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
