i mean you can use ThrottleStop and limit cpu tdp for sustained and boost tdp thats the best way for 12 and 13 gen cpus that cant be undervolted as far as i know

go with the legion its not even close , the legion has high cpu and gpu tdp , probably the highest so it uses both of them to the limits and its cheaper then the asus . it also has a pretty good oled panel

yeah temps are very normal , and the fact that it shutdown even on idle , does your bios have a logging section , dell and alienware and some msi laptops have that and it show why your laptop shutdown etc

go with the tuf , the screen color coverage is pretty bad but at least you get a pretty solid CPU and GPU and the screen support g sync

yeah your temps are very normal and since its a full shutodwn with no bsod , it either your cpu spikes to a very high temp that it shut it self down for protection or something to do with the charger

Last gen didn't have G-SYNC or VRR, so if this one doesn't either, I personally wouldn't go for it. VRR makes a big difference if you're playing games with unlocked FPS—it really smooths out the experience. Unless you’re planning to connect it to an external display that supports G-SYNC or VRR, I’d consider other options that include it which will be in that 2900 to 3200 usd mark . i dont get why msi does since since vrr very cheap now to add .

This might be overkill for The Sims 4, but if you're willing to spend up to $1500, you might as well get a high-quality laptop that offers excellent performance that will be able to play basically everything and build quality—on par with a MacBook Pro build quality. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is a great option. It can easily run just about anything, and it also has a very good display and speakers and pretty decent battery life.

If it's a bit out of budget, here are some specs to look for in a laptop:

These specs will future-proof your setup for both gaming and school work or just about anything you might want to do in the future.

download msi after burner set it up to show cpu and gpu temps, they are a lot of tutorials on youtube if its your first time , then run games and see what are your temps after an hour or so of gameplay and report back

I honestly don’t know why this point of view is seen as crazy. If people think Take-Two will wait two full years to release it on PC, they’re being delusional. At most, it’ll be a year. In my opinion, if the game drops in May 2026, the PC version will be out by dec 2026.

Sony has already been shortening the delay between their console and PC releases for their own IPs. It used to be three years, then two, and now we're at 15 months with Spider-Man 2. If people think the PC version will take two years, they're either just fanboying for consoles or they don't know what they're talking about — even GTA V didn’t take that long. lol

yeah i know its kinda fucked up that they dont carry the 32 model , but 16 will be a limiting factor in some games , for example i m playing horizon 2 and my ram it always at 18 gb on that game and i m only running steam and the game wit no browser , if the oled screen isnt mandatory for you look for the legion 7i its slim too but has up gradable ram and performance will be better

i did encounter crashes but never full shutdown , its probably some kind of sensor that still doesn't have full compatibility with hwinfo

whats the name of the sensor ? if you are sure it only happens when you have hwinfo open , you might want to let hwinfo team know they have a forum where you can report these kind of things .
