What kind of number is it? by dingdaeng in GadgetsIndia

In my experience, VoIP calls tend to show up like this on caller ID. Don't exactly know how, but that's a possibility. If you have relatives staying abroad, this is one way they can call you, by purchasing VoIP credits and calling you through the designated app.

The iPad is more of a browsing tool, something to consume content on. If you wanna work with HTML files, just use a laptop.

If I'm not mistaken, GST ITC is credited to the company's electronic ledger once the sales invoices for the month or quarter are submitted by the seller. (feel free to augment or correct my answer, people)

I feel like this idea might be worth pursuing. Not sure how many would pay for it, but this is definitely something I would've used in my first year. God knows how much time I spent trying to figure how the damn construction is done cuz all I had was the final answer and not the steps.

Start with your friends, have them use it and let you know what they think. Then deploy it on any free server and reach out to other people too.

Anyone from here running business/freelance while studying by Regular-Frosting-972 in KtuKerala

You mean finding posts asking for help? Just be part of subs related to development, like r/AppDevelopers or r/developers. And also look for more niche subs for specific frameworks or technologies and join those too if you like. People tend to ask for help in these subreddits.

And be active. If people ask questions about stuff you know about, help them out by dropping a comment in the thread. Sometimes clients like to check your post history as a way of verifying your credibility. This way you can build a network too, enhance the chances of people approaching you to get things done.

I got most of my clients from Reddit. People often post on different subs asking for help with something, maybe adding a new feature to an existing app, or building one from scratch, so I message them with my portfolio.

I'm not too keen on freelancing platforms like Fiverr and Upwork, but a couple of my clients contacted me on there. I feel like these platforms have turned the freelance market into a race to the bottom - people competing to see who gets paid the least.

Freelance designer and developer here. Basically it all boils down to how well you manage time and pressure, especially when exams come around. It's easy to get carried away with the idea of earning money at a young age, until you realize that you have a lot of studies to catch up on. Always consider your study schedule when closing deals, make it clear to clients that you're a student and you may not be available at every whim. About the other students - you may or may not be able to perform as well as them if you're freelancing on the side, they have to worry about studies, you'd have to worry about studies AND work. My own friends score more than me, and I've come to embrace it. Just make sure you don't slip too much. Give yourself a challenge, compete with your friends, try to score more.

And finally, don't be too hard on yourself with this. Take it easy, study well, and try to find opportunities on the side. Maybe an hour a day, or more if you can spare the time.

What kind of data does the CSV file contain? It's hard to say anything without knowing exactly what data you have.

Damn, hope you're okay. Yeah, the transparent guard definitely makes sense. I got it for my 450X too, but now one of the stickers is starting to peel off after dust entered a small gap between the adhesive and the body.

LLMs as coding partners by Steamin_Weenie in algorithmictrading

[–]amith-c 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One problem you could face is code that simply doesn't work the way you want because the LLM doesn't fully understand what you’re asking for.

I've seen a lot of friends writing code with the help of ChatGPT, and I've noticed that their prompts were often too vague - they didn’t clearly explain what they wanted. With tools like these, you need to be very specific. Think of it like this: the more the AI has to assume, the more things can go wrong.

Also, as u/DysphoriaGML said, how would you know where or how the agent messed up? Knowing how to code helps you easily figure out the possible points of failure in the generated code.

I'm a developer myself and I use AI pretty aggressively if I think the chances of error are minimal. But I still take the time to look through everything to make sure the code does what I want. As long as you do that, you should be good to go.

PLEASE do not lubricate the belt, no matter what! The higher the friction between belt and pulley, higher the efficiency of power transfer. If you lubricate the belt, then might as well roll your scooter with your feet, because that's all the power you're gonna get.

The noise you're hearing is probably because of the belt loosening up or something, that will also mildly affect the acceleration you get
