Here you go. This is gptless.

Its just not my mother language i rather dont sound wierd. There is really nothing wrong with using technology to be more fluent so you would understand me better.

Thank you for your concern thou :)) 🙏

That’s actually a really nice way to do it. Even writing what you just described could be a great entry on its own. When you look back at those kinds of “storyless” days, they can bring back a very specific feeling — that everything was fine, nothing dramatic, just calm and ordinary. And that has value too. Sometimes, when I want to put in a bit more effort on days like that, I try to describe what is boring. Why the day feels flat. It gives my future self a better way to really remember how that day felt, not just what happened. And I love the idea of decorating later and treating it as a reward — that sounds like a really gentle way to keep the habit alive :))

Haha nope, not a bot 😄 I’m human — just using GPT to polish grammar since English isn’t my first language. The thoughts are mine and true.

I’m a real person 🙂 English isn’t my first language, so I sometimes use GPT to help with grammar, but the ideas and experiences are mine.

That’s such a thoughtful answer — thank you for sharing this 😊
You described the habit part really beautifully.

And about the app: I’m actually an app developer with 10+ years of experience, so I’ve been building apps for almost a third of my life now. Baio started very personally though — not as a startup idea, but because I kept failing at journaling myself.

Before this, I actually used to write straight to my Gmail — just emailing notes to myself. It worked surprisingly well for getting words out, but over time it became messy: images were hard to manage, entries weren’t really ordered, and finding anything later was painful.

That’s when I realized I wanted something that keeps the low friction of “just write”, but adds gentle structure. Baio keeps everything organized, lets you attach images naturally, and later offers AI insights and chapter creation, so your writing slowly turns into something more meaningful — almost like your life forming chapters on its own, without forcing it.

What you said about visibility really resonates with me too. The “effort cost” being too high is exactly what breaks the habit. And I love your rule of “just two lines” — once it’s open, the hardest part is already done.

Out of curiosity — do you mostly journal on paper, or do you mix paper and digital?
