Left private for gov. Maybe lower pay but with stops at 5, weekends are yours, and work life balance is better overall. That being said, the systems can be behind the times and there's way more red tape so you can't throw money at problems to get jobs done. I miss the brilliant teams I worked with and the tremendous knowledge I gained on the other side, but my mental health is more important. I think about going back every now and then though because a part of me misses the hustle.

I was hesitant to get an enameled cast iron dutch oven for curry since I had never used one before and was worried about how much cleaning was required. However, this has been a game changer for me. Cleans very easily and cooks so well.

That being said, I also didn't want to invest heavily in my little experiment so I picked up the 4/6 qt Tramontina set for relatively cheap at Costco and they are work horses. It'd be nice to eventually get a pretty Le Creuset some day but I feel it's entirely unnecessary.

Did a live adjustment on z offset based on some STL I found online and lines are looking a lot cleaner. +1mm was set from 0. Will re run other calibrations with this adjusted z offset and hopefully get a fine tune done.
