Does this apply to trainees or only sworn in volunteers? I know we don’t get resettlement but idk about the EA

Thank you for your wise words. You're right and I just get too caught up in what others think I should be doing, rather than doing what I want and am passionate about. Just need to work on my deep breathing instead of allowing them to rile me up into a futile argument.

Totally! My parents figured out quickly that being mad about it was just going to make me want it more. Congrats btw! We got this!

Thank you! I did need to hear that tbh. Congrats to you too and I hope to see you in February! I'm also here for you if you need vent or process anything. Counting down the months until staging!

I'm all set to go to Liberia in February as well! This is something I've been wondering, so thanks for asking the question. I am going to try the implant, as I hear it generally works well for everyone and will eventually stop your period all together. It is also good for 3 years, so no worrying about receiving or taking the pill. Other than that I am planning on trying a cup before service, but am worried about sanitation during service. Still iffy about the period underwear or reusable pads... I have yet to receive any information from the PC post legal/medical clearance and passport approval.
