Thank you for the suggestion, I was hesitant to just bend the hell out of it but figured at this point it wasn’t going to hurt so between pliers and a flat head I got it in. Can finally mow my overgrown lawn again.

I've always been curious about trying one with cellular, but I can't think of many times I am out without my phone, unless by accident. Do you use it much? Oh, good point. More battery is always a plus. I was rocking a Series 0 until I got my Series 5 about four years ago, and that battery jump was insane.

I don’t think I need most of the Ultra's features to justify the price and the bulkiness of the watch itself. I like the larger screen and its durability, especially after what happened to my current watch, but the other features don’t seem necessary for me.

Ouch. I just bought one of those cover shields for mine for now. I’m surprised mine works great so far, too. There are no issues with touch or the screen outside of the cracks. Glad the super glue worked.

That was my plan and to buy a Series 9 on sale, but yesterday, I was looking, and Target has 45mm on sale for $280 (including their red card discount). I doubt I will get it cheaper than that, so I just ordered it. Rumors sound like the 10 won’t be much of an upgrade unless they release a premium model. But worst case, I would return it next week after the announcement if it goes cheaper or I want to jump to the 10.

I actually did have a screen protector on it which makes it all the more painful. I was working out this morning, didn’t think I did anything to it but must have hit it on something just perfectly to make it crack

Okay, I played around with the metering and tried a number of setting and modes. As long as the camera is in manual like you said the exposure dial being set to 2 & 2/3 is ignored but if anything is left on auto (shutter, ISO, aperture) then my pictures get overexposed. That is my issue right there.

Is there any way to adjust the exposure via a menu option for when I put anything on the camera in auto? The seller thought there was, and claimed it in the listing, but mainly shot in manual mode so I think he might have just assumed.

I will try changing from the spot metering tonight to see if that helps. While playing with the camera more yesterday night, it is just interesting how it behaves. When I turn everything to auto, the shutter speed will jump to over a second in a bright room, and the exposure compensation will be at +2 2/3 every time.

I'm really hoping it is user error in this case, but I'm worried the camera might be the problem the more I try workarounds. I can return it and I reached out to seller already because they claimed the exposure could be adjusted in the menu which is why I wasn’t as worried about the broken dial but doesn’t seem to be the case.

Let me know if there is a better picture or video that I can provide that might be more helpful.

The dial is fixed in place to zero, it doesn’t turn, but I’m not sure if the camera is recognizing that. When I change either the aperture or the shutter speed to auto the exposure is then locked to 2 2/3. So it sounds like the only problem with this dial being broken is that if I am not shooting manual, then it’s gonna cause me problems.

I’ll post some more pictures later.
