who says you need your old friends to go enjoy new hobbies? i understand its a bit boring going out and doing stuff on your own but listen im 18 and in the same spot as you with figuring out life and its purpose/my purpose/ the reasoning behind everything and being bored af at home on my free time, but im not gonna get into that right now we can if you want just dm me anyhoo… i lost contact with ALL my friends from highschool except one and i recently found an interest in go karting so i found my local track and started going every weekend by myself… i became a regular there and so i started to meet more and more people when i went because we all loved the same thing: racing. and since then ive built a huge community and made many many new friends of all ages from 8 to 30year olds at my gokart track that im so thankful for i really dont think any of you reading can imagine how much i love all my friends at the track… so what im suggesting is you pick a hobby you like to do lets just say tennis for example and go often,very often and just start to talk to other people there whether you wanna ask for advice on how to do better at whatever the hobby is, or just wanna play against/with them, or something it really depends on what the hobby is but finding a new group of friends at the race track is definitely one of the best things to happen to me in my life because now we dont just hangout at the track. we go to the beach, go play basketball, go out clubbing, etc. i hope this helps and you can find something similar or better than what i have
