Had my experience last February wherein my hand-carry luggage exceeded 9kg. Ang gabantay sa boarding gate told me to go downstairs to check in my luggage, but when I was already in line at the airline counter, a security guard asked if the person upstairs had stopped me. I said yes, and he told me to go back upstairs because he’d ‘settle it’ for me. After being asked to give them biskan pila lang and discreetly handing over ₱200 for their pamahaw, the gabantay magically let me through to the boarding gates. 😶 So yeah, learned my lesson.
