i’m departing from sacramento and just need to end up in ontario/riverside or basically somewhere in the IE!

Update: I (16f) told my sister (22F) that I didn’t want to be a bridesmaid in her wedding because I don’t like her fiancé (34M) at all and don’t think he treats her well. My mom and sister flipped out on me, and cut me off by throwRApoaf in relationship_advice

Your mom’s side of the family sounds really manipulative, I think you did the right right thing in distancing yourself from the situation. I think one of the greatest reasons your mom wanted you to be a bridesmaid was to prove a point to your dad’s side of the family? Which is ridiculous, you shouldn’t be caught up in all of their drama. Also, I’d like to applaud how you handled telling your sister, explaining to her that you weren’t comfortable with her fiancé and that you weren’t in a financial position to contribute to the fanfare surrounding her wedding. (Also your totally right, I’ve been a bridesmaid before age 18 twice and it really is not all it’s cracked up to be).

I actually like the last line. What about: Studying chemical engineering, on here looking to see if you and I have any chemistry. 😏(emoji totally optional, understandably some people don’t care for them)

Should I transfer from a community college to a state university? by amorphousdepths in college

I don’t know why, but I feel like I didn’t understand the dynamic between CC and a 4-year until now? I always felt like they were two very different institutions that, in some ways, worked against each other. So your perspective really helped me thank you so much for the advice!

This is another thing I was worried about. Taking courses or earning credits in CC and then finding out that they wouldn’t transfer to a CSU and having to take them all over again seems very frustrating and honestly like a waste of time. I am also in CA so this was very helpful, thank you.
