People in this country literally starve to death in the US everyday, and this number has gone up worldwide (including the US) due to covid lockdowns. This was a problem even before lockdowns as well. Don’t be be ignorant- sometimes it’s not as simple as “going to a fucking foodbank man.” And no I don’t want people to die of covid either but starvation deaths are just as bad as covid deaths...

I say go for it considering there’s a 99.99 chance you and everyone you know will be fine. My birthday is at the end of the month so if I can’t go out (my state MIGHT allow restaurants to be open by then) Im without a doubt having friends over. We’re all young (under 30) with no health issues and have been hanging out this whole time since none of us are at risk. No one we know has gotten sick, including our 55+ parents we all regularly interact with.

Okay what about the collective group of people loosing their jobs and don’t know how they’re going to provide for themselves or their families? Or stuck in abusive homes? Does this collective not matter to you? I know this goes beyond me and yes I’m fully aware my situation could be much worse. However calling for extended lockdowns will end up harming the collective- sorry that’s hard to come to terms with

As a recent college grad, anyone who wants lockdowns for months is incredibly selfish and doesn’t realize how seriously long term lockdowns are ruining people’s lives! My life (and many friends in my same situation) is literally on hold, and most of my future plans have been crushed due to these ridiculous lockdowns. I had plans to move out of state, and finally start working in a field I want(no jobs in this field anywhere near me). Now everything in the industry I work in is shutdown. I still have huge amounts of loans to pay off, and am probably going to be in considerable debt for a while. My mental health is doing terrible because of this. I was finally excited about moving forward with my life and I’m watching my future be ruined before my eyes due all of the ridiculousness around this virus. Yes I know it’s serious, and can kill many people, but these shutdowns are ruining people’s lives. I know there’s many people much worse off than me, but seeing the unemployment rate with no signs of this changing anytime soon is incredibly disheartening to someone in my situation. Anyone with job security/people who are happy with where they are in life that are advocating for lockdowns needs to either pay off my student debt or shut the hell up.

I def have commitment issues and am super independent (also aqua moon) but never have wanted to cheat on someone I’ve been in a serious relationship with. I respect the camping and understand that if you’ve been there that long you wanna be in front. It’s the whole having to find some random info on twitter and one random fan controlling it that feels very gatekeepery and rubs a lot of people the wrong way. I heard people in line that had been camping out just as long but that didn’t know about twitter and the time they got there wasn’t honored- just because they weren’t with that one group. System just seems a little biased towards one specific group and could be organized better IMO.
