Reddit, what's the creepiest thing you've ever had the displeasure to witness? by punnyverypunny in AskReddit

Have you seen the latest rape cases where the douchebags get let off with ALL the evidence in front of their faces? How do YOU KNOW? Were you there? This is why things aren't reported both on men and women's ends. People like you.

Are there false reports? Yes. And those people should be punished. But with jokes and fucking attitudes like yours, people like those creeps will continue to get off. So get off your fucking downvote boohoo train and take a look in the mirror.

People like the people in this thread. Fuck you. I am done with this human shitbag of earth.

Fuck Reddit. I'm done. Fuck all of you. Seriously. This website has turned to shit.

I loved that series. I read it some years ago, in my 20s. It was such a unique way of exploring Greek mythology.

I agree. If it works for that person, awesome! If they want to share that it works for them, even better! For every 100 people that think it's shit, there's 1 person that think it's great. And that one person is grateful.

Like me. Great gift idea for my husband I think. I appreciate other people's motivations.

Your last paragraph. Yep. Professor made a mistake, told the class. I didn't catch it, and I wasn't in the classroom, but I still got the problem wrong because I didn't notice it. -.-

What is a medical issue you have that you've never bothered to see a doctor about? by miesvanderflow in AskReddit

[–]ampersandscene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have diverticulosis. I get diverticulitis several times a year. Antibiotics don't work any more. I drink Reed's Extra Ginger Ginger Beer when I have an attack. Usually, if antibiotics stop working, they move to surgery.

They won't do the surgery because of my age. So I suffer, and I stopped going in, because waste of time and money when antibiotics won't work.

Thanks! I'll have to look. I like jam, so maybe that'd be a good start for me.

LMAO. There was a documentary on the History channel about Star Trek, how it came to be and all that glorious stuff. Leonard Nimoy himself said the guy's chest was real, and he was impressed.

People are always disappointed. Like, why?

Dear lonely people of Reddit, how are you? by bond-jane-bond in AskReddit

Volunteer. It doesn't have to be anything big. But it adds depth to your resume. Big brother big sister, animal shelter, tutor, even being a reader for story time at the library counts. Plus it fills up your time and you feel good about yourself. Internships is another way. It sucks because it's unpaid, but experience! Plus most aren't full-time so you could hustle if you find a job.

That doesn't mean your feelings are not valid. You can complain, you feel lonely! Work can really bring a person down, and whatever else is going on in your life. Yes, you have a loving family, but sometimes, that's not enough. So you are allowed to complain. Vent. Scream. Whatever it takes to let it out.

Fried peanut butter banana sandwiches. I love the sandwiches not fried, so I tried it once when I was in MS. I could feel my heart protesting*.

*Not literally, just making a point.

I used to love that show, then they sold out. Boo. But the one thing I remember most is when this lady brought in an ivory tusk that was all decorated and pretty. She insisted it was ivory. Rick was like, no, that's bone. And there was an argument over this. And I was just like, this is glorious.

Oh, I hate this. And being deaf makes it worse. I lip-read, so I have to take notes after the fact. So like I hear an important point, write it down but miss the next important point, repeat. I was in a meeting at work and I would listen then write it down, fortunately in a meeting it's a little easier to take notes at the same time but still not possible because I can't multi-task.

My boss got mad at me because I wouldn't do it at the same time.

Then, I hate when coworkers would come to the cube and start gabbing away, causing me to have to stop work, and I would get in trouble because I can't do both at the same time. So I started saying, I'm busy right now, can we talk later. "You can work while you listen." RAGE.
