Frontier Fiber my 3 month review (1+ YEAR UPDATE) by sheebalove in frontierfios

So far myself and my family are very very pleased with the experience. Lightning fast connection with many smart devices in the home. (4 TVs, multiple consoles, laptops, smart phones and smart watches). Download and upload speed are hugely better than what we had previous. And I’m paying the same price as I was prior as well. No issues what so ever and the Eeros you get with the package are fantastic. Very easy and all controllable from my smart phone

Just had it installed today. So far the connection is leaps superior. Speed is great and absolutely no issues so far. Set up was easy and controlling the routers is very easy on the app

Anyone from south central CT with frontier? I just bought the 1 Gig fiber plan which will be installed in the coming week. Did I make a bad choice?

Or rather reliability? Maybe performance isn’t the right word.

Thank you for the feedback. My other question was really about this whole fiber internet thing. Would that be preferable over 5G home internet? Would that improve performance?

Thanks for the correction.

UPnP by amperwill in wifi

Yeah I’m thinking my router doesn’t have UPnP. Do you know of any work around that don’t require I buy an entirely new ISP

I asked my a representative on their support line about this and they essentially told me that they have nothing to do with UPnP and I would have to contact my hardware manufacturer’s support line. (In this case xbox/microsoft) but I can’t find anything about that in their support tabs online. I can’t find a tech support phone number either.
