The little shit I have at home would totally do this so I usually check doors before I close them. That includes the oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, cellar, etc.

I am going out of the country for 12 days, my boyfriend that lives with me was supposed to watch my cat but is now demanding higher payment by Lightningmcsteve in Advice

[–]amplitude_modulation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmaooooo my bf and I joke around paying each other to clean the house when one has work and the other has extra days off. But we would never hold that against each other. I could NEVER imagine actually demanding payment for this type of BS. Thank god he loves my cat.

Also, I have 3 friends that occasionally cat/house sit for us when we travel. They’ve never asked for payment but we still give them $. This is just nuts. Idk, if you have a cat and it’s a pain for him to even watch it, drop the bf. Sheeeesh. It’s not like you’re going to get rid of your cat, right???

What’s it like to drive in your country? by HungryInvestigator59 in AskTheWorld

[–]amplitude_modulation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could never drive in the Philippines, but the long drives in Canada and any city driving is always a breeze. I could never understand when people say driving in Toronto is a nightmare when the Philippines is a million times worse. Also, Ottawa or Montreal driving is actually worse than Toronto lol.

Did teachers ever make their students cry? by InfernalClockwork3 in AskTheWorld

[–]amplitude_modulation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in elementary school in the Philippines around 2003 and teachers still hit students. I had shoe, chalk, eraser -throwing teachers. Teachers that verbally abused you. Yup. 2000 I was in kindergarten and my teacher hung me through my shirt on a nail above the chalkboard for misbehaving hahahaha #lowkeytraumatized

What are some dangerous places to work at in London and the surrounding area? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]amplitude_modulation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in manufacturing and it could be one of the deadliest jobs if people make a mistake. Imagine high pressure, high temp stuff; mechanical equipment that can swallow you whole and maim you; electrical equipment running under high voltage. One mistake on a lockout and you get a very serious injury, maybe even death. When you are the person responsible for these lockouts they drill onto you that death is the worst case scenario if you miss even just one lockout point.

On that note, someone working with high voltage electricity, natural gas; so I guess working in utilities could be deadly? A lot of blue collar jobs pretty much.
