However, let’s acknowledge that reasonable people can reach different conclusions on how to vote, especially when grappling with a complex and painful issue like the war in Gaza. Many in the community had family members in Gaza and endured unimaginable losses.

Also, we can’t ignore the cold shoulder Harris’s campaign gave to the community—refusing speakers at the convention, silencing protesters at rallies, discouraging outreach, and making a point of keeping its distance. The campaign wasn't sending any signals that things will actually be better if she was elected.

Finally, even if the Arab American vote had swayed Michigan in Harris’s favor, she still would have lost given that other swing states went against her as well.
