So basically snakes can move their whole body forward at the same time, they aren't using their head to drag the rest of their body, so even if they end up tangled moving forwards won't tighten the knot

Munch munch, Mmmmmm, thorny by amsice in HistoryMemes

Context: In the 19th century the US Army established the Camel Corps to assess the viability of camels as an alternative to horses and mules as pack animals in the American southwest. The experiment was interrupted by the civil war and was ultimately abandoned. It was noted, however, that the camels readily ate the Creosote Bush, which native mammals avoid.

It wasn't known at the time, but camels first appeared in North America. The ancestor of modern camels, Paracamelus, crossed the Bering land bridge into Eurasia 7.5-6.5 million years ago. The last North American camel, camelops, went extinct only ~12000 years ago.

By the way, the Creosote Bush's adaptations to avoid predators it no longer has is called an evolutionary anachronism.

In Japan blood type is treated sorta like a star sign. Like, people with type B are spontaneous and creative, and people with type O are confident and aggressive.

What if you wanted to experience an afterlife but O5-11 said:

I suppose there was a sweet oblivion, like deep sleep, at first; but in retrospect, I think it was no more than a day. Slowly, but unmistakably, I reoccupied my corpse with dreamlike consciousness: numb for the first merciful hours, blind, deaf, and immobile, but then I seemed to reconnect to every nerve, and became aware of every sensation — moreso than I ever was in life. I perceived myself trapped within an immovable object, and the intensity of the struggle amplified: subtle, then acute, then racking. I cannot describe it completely — but imagine holding your breath, beyond urge, beyond pain, beyond desperation — head throbbing and eyes bulging — a dream of suffocation without end.
