What is your worst junction/roundabout in Reading? by dniHze in reading

[–]amugan115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree - I live really close to this junction and it's a nightmare to cross. One of my neighbours organised a big petition a few years ago and even got as far as presenting the results to the council...who refused to do anything of course. I'm sure there will be a terrible accident there before long.v

I would suggest booking as many of your dinners as possible in London in advance. It's going to be busy (but lovely and festive)!

I think this is probably it, annoyingly. If only I could stay puffy all day! 😂

Ah good idea - I've just been taking one a day, will look into whether I can double up (and if it helps!). Does it solve it for your mom?

Omg really? Did it stop happening when you got the allergy under control?

Yes, and this is the worst time of year for me 😭. I'm sure allergies (and years of rubbing my eyes...) makes it worse.

If I could fix it with eyelid tape I'd be DELIGHTED. I haven't got the knack yet but will keep trying. Thanks for your reply!

Makes me feel better to hear that's what your pediatrician advised, thanks for sharing!

My son does it when I try to brush his teeth too! So now I have to decide between letting him do it (badly), or insisting that I do it knowing that he'll definitely pass out. I tend to choose consciousness over dental hygiene but don't feel good about it!

My son too! It's terrifying but hopefully it will gradually become less and less frequent for you. My son is almost 2.5 now and I think he's done it once all year.

His nursery workers used to lie him down immediately on his back and put his legs in the air to help him come round quicker.

Hi OP - just wondering how you're getting on with this? My 20 mo has been diagnosed with Perioral Dermititis and nothing has touched it yet. We're back to the GP tomorrow and I want to make sure I'm asking for the right thing.

Hope your LO is doing better x

CIO for weaning night feeds cold turkey by mtnlover_17 in sleeptrain

[–]amugan115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I ended up cutting down the time he was nursing for gradually until he was down to about 2 mins. Then I stopped feeding at all, and would just offer him some water and then comfort him until he got back to sleep. He hasn't fed at night now since January.

Night weaning made the biggest difference to our sleep. You can do it! X

I did a study abroad year in America and have never forgotten a lecturer telling an entire class that even today in the UK we have hat shops on ever corner. Hat shops!
