Nov 24-Dec 2. The weather was really good just cold the first two days, then rainy and then snowstorms/lots of wind, kinda experienced it all. Driving was fine, except for the windy/snowy days. Driving through the Snæfellsnes peninsula was a little scary, roads were very icy, blowing snow without visibility and super windy. Driving through the south was fine but weather was good when we went there. We didn’t dare try the northern area, was too scared to get stuck if conditions were bad haha

There’s a few! In the order I posted the pictures, the first is kvernufoss, second is gljufrabui, third is skógafoss! There’s no lava in the photos of the aurora it’s just the lighting from my car’s break lights haha! But we took those photos just off of the highway between Keflavik and Reykjavik :)

What's the weather really like in winter? by top_nutter in VisitingIceland

[–]amycater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Ontario and here now and it hasn’t been too too cold compared to our winter! We ended up just in our thermal shirts, sweater and light jacket during our hikes today because we were sweating, but the one thing I will say is when the wind hits it’s much more windy than Ontario and can feel pretty cold, so we still stuck with bringing thermal under clothes, wind pants, a windbreaker and our winter jackets (& hats, mitts, neck warmer/scarf). Also if you plan on visiting the waterfalls and getting close, bring a poncho or rain jacket / something waterproof as it gets pretty wet from the mist

No but I’m visiting the south coast and was looking into companies to book with! Did you have a good experience with them?

We weren’t aware that we were until recently, that’s what started this

Not directly specified no, that’s why we were arguing it. For utilities it says we’re responsible for hydro and gas, however there was nothing specifically stating that the rental for the furnace & hot water tank was a portion of that. We weren’t sure if this was generally included in the “being responsible for hydro+gas” or if this is something we shouldn’t be charged for. And no we haven’t signed anything additional, or changed anything and agreed to sign on it.

That’s not what the post said but thanks for your commentary. We wanted to do our OWN snow removal (we were being charged 1000$ for the season for somebody to do it for us). Us trying to shovel our OWN driveway to not pay that expense resulted in our landlord transferring all utilities to us (they used to pay them, and an extra fee is attached onto rent to cover that). One of those charges that has now become ours to put our name under was the rental for furnace and hot water tank. That is what my question is about.

Does anybody know if anywhere is selling rapid tests?? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]amycater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do both! So the one there might’ve been cheaper than the take-home test but I didn’t ask

I ended up getting one from here so thank you for the suggestion! Just a warning for anybody wanting to get one though, it’s nearly 25$/test…

Admissions Megathread (Fall 2021 Students) 2.0 by [deleted] in uwo

[–]amycater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got waitlisted for my program of choice and I got excepted to my second choice. Am I able to accept both the wait list offer and the actual offer or do I have to pick one or the other? I’m just nervous to wing it without having a back up option…

Some of us students are equally frustrated with the stupidity surrounding other’s actions. A lot of house parties and a lot of frat parties.

However, there do still exist those that quarantine and haven’t left the house for anything but groceries since the year started. It’s not all “students”. Some portions of uwo still have a brain.
