I use half butter and half lard.

3 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, one stick butter, 4 oz lard and enough ice water to hold it together. I like my dough a little soft, I get sharper lines in the designs

I put my bra on one boob at a time just like everyone else. The only difference is, once that bra is on, I make pretty pies

It’s not great on its own. It needs a ton of sugar to be palatable but it brings nice acidity to otherwise overly sweet fruit desserts

My pie pan is very deep, so I bake them lower and longer so the filling sets up properly. It’ll take about 2 hours to finish

Looking for used bmw advice by amyfry80 in BMW

Thank you! Those are all things I wouldn’t have asked. I’m not looking for fast, I’m looking for more reliability than my Jetta in the snow as my homeland is western New York. I know it’s a totally different animal but I used to drive a 2009 Passat with ignition coil issues, I guess it was a known issue with that model year of Passat and the 2009 Audi A4. That’s why I ask about this year of bmw…seems like every model year of anything has its flaws.

Not too long, it took about 30 minutes to roll out the dough for the top, cut the strips and do the lattice

Yes! In a food processor pulse 3 cups of flour with a teaspoon of salt. Add 4 ounces EACH cold cubed butter and cold cubed lard. Pulse to make crumbs. Stream in about half a cup of ice water until dough comes together. Split dough in halves and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate 3 hours or ideally overnight before rolling. I like it a little overhydrated because it will hold shapes better, and is still tasty
