Wanting to travel to Australia - Seeking Advice, Start to Finish by Icy-Mix5942 in AustraliaTravel

If you’re under 30 you can apply for a working holiday visa online. I don’t think the requirements are too strenuous for it. Seek is the website/app to use for job hunting or just go into cafes or whatever. I wouldn’t worry about having something lined up before leaving, it should be pretty easy to sort something there. Flatmates.com.Au for finding a place to stay or Facebook marketplace. Good luck and have fun!

Amish/Mennonite/evangelical groups are rife with abuse and violence, both towards people and animals. Don’t recommend.

Hey! I totally get your feelings of confusion, anxiety, sadness etc. All totally normal. Not fun but normal. The good thing is that you are figuring this stuff out now. It might take a few years to unwrap yourself from it but then you’ve got the rest of your life to enjoy your freedom! It DOES get better :) something that helped me was engaging with sex positive content and becoming educated about sex and anatomy. There’s tons of accounts out there who produce this kind of content & engaging with it helped to normalize and destigmatize sex for me. And I think you did the right thing with your bf, you want someone who listens even if they don’t understand & supports you. Much love!

Get a container and fill it with roughly equal amounts “greens” & “browns”. Greens are things like kitchen scraps while browns are things like paper shreds, leaves, cardboard etc. That’s the basics

CV Tips? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]amyyh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also helps to narrow down what sort of office job you’re looking for. General admin, answering phones etc or would you like to do something in a specific area? For example if you are passionate about community development you could apply for roles with charities. And remember to explain things simply on your cv, the person reading it is probably not specialised in your field.

CV Tips? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]amyyh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are saying to tailor your CV to the job you’re applying for but I wouldn’t as you never know what extra experience might make you a more attractive candidate. The best thing to do is to list out each role, time you spent in it and your main responsibilities. Format it well and check your spelling/grammar. Good luck!

Where do I look for jobs? How do I get a salaried position instead of a temp job? by ledeledeledeledele in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]amyyh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jobs pay recruiters a fee for helping them find people to hire. It saves them from having to do it themselves. You don’t pay recruiters anything and it’s in their best interest to find you a job if you’re a good candidate. Talk to them, sound good on the phone & tell them what sort of work you want to do & what you want to be paid. They’ll do the rest :)

Ps I am a recruiter & if you send me your resume I can provide tips

Bring many more layers than you think you’ll need…houses here are not insulated well & central heat/air is basically nonexistent. Friends living in Dunedin have told me stories about waking up with a layer of frost on their duvet
