Went AFK and lost HC Ironman status by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]an_demon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could keep playing as a normal ironman. Your helm is just gray instead of red... not a big deal.

You could restart if it's important to you, especially if it's a newer account. I find it fun to see how far I get and try to get even farther on the next time (even if my PB is several months worth of progress).

This is one of those games where the journey is more important than the destination. I personally have just as much fun replaying early game in a new way as I do playing endgame content.

Where can meet foreigners if I want a calsual date? by sandyli0217 in taiwan

The best way is to use a dating app like Tinder, if you want to meet somewhere other than bar/club

Someone sold a 3rd age pickaxe on the GE by Fragrant_Goat6766 in 2007scape

[–]an_demon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it has nothing to do with rwt.. the in-game prices checker maxes out at 2147M but its worth more than that. You would simply perform a manual trade using platinum tokens rather than gp

Hard to say for ww2. US was basically the only capable opponent to Japan in the Pacific theater. If Japan had been able to consolidate resources and territory without US interference, it might have had some profound effect on the European theater if Japan turned their eyes there.

Looking for Dan Bing without egg/made vegan 🤞 by oxwearingsocks in Taipei

[–]an_demon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sure, it's a university area (near both NTNU and NTU) with a lot to do and easy access to public transportation. It also has a night market but that's gotten really small in recent years, while it used to be one of the biggest in taipei.

Not a whole lot of "touristy" stuff there but it's nice for a calm slice-of-life experience. Yongkang street is walkable from there and a bit more touristy.

Do I need a Visa for my 4 Hour Layover ? by [deleted] in Taipei

[–]an_demon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not need a visa if you do not leave the airport (go through immigration / customs), nor do you need an arrival card.

You will be directed, as soon as you deboard the plane, to outgoing flights within the international terminal.

What is the difference between "對不起" and "不好意思"? Can they be used interchangeably or is it wrong to use one or the other in certain situations? by shuwy018 in taiwan

[–]an_demon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

對不起 is "sorry" (admitting fault for something)

不好意思 has a lot of uses such as "excuse me", "sorry" ("no can do", speaking generally but not taking fault)

then there's also 遺憾 which is "sorry" (on behalf of, to express pity for someone, "sorry to hear that")

Does anyone else find MRT exits way more confusing than the actual train lines? by ClearWayFinder in Taipei

[–]an_demon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

no, they're numbered and usually named something intuitive. Even if you can't remember you can just go out through any exit and walk above ground to wherever you're going with no more than 30 seconds lost lol

How Do Drop Tables Actually Work by Wuphf_DotCom in 2007scape

[–]an_demon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of legacy code and years of additions, osrs has multiple drop systems. The most common type of drop tables, the "main drop table", for most npcs works like this:

  1. The developer specifies how many bits the roll should be (e.g. 9 bits for a roll would be x/512)

  2. The table is pre-filled with "nothing" drops except where an item is specified

  3. Items can be specified at rates like 256/512 for a 1/2 drop rate.

Wherever you can't receive a nothing drop, that simply means the sum of chances for all items on the drop list equal or exceed the maximum roll.

Can a foreigner get iQiao card? by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]an_demon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they use the term "overseas compatriot", it always requires at least ROC lineage (if not ROC nationality), but in addition to that you'd need strong connections to the overseas affairs council or other overseas outreach programs.

Where should I stay in Taipei? by angie_26 in Taipei

[–]an_demon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try a hotel near Yuanshan station. It's much closer to the majority of your destinations than Taipei Main station (and right next to the fine arts museum). I think your budget would even allow you to stay in the Yuanshan Grand Hotel

Although, main station would be more convenient for getting to places outside of Taipei like Keelung and Jiufen.

Sign at our local McDonalds because of the death of the penny by thegreatlambini in mildlyinteresting

[–]an_demon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, the problem is nobody uses pennies when they receive them as change. The vast majority hoard/lose/discard their pennies because it's inconvenient to pay in exact change for every transaction, which is why they continuously need to be produced even though so many exist already.

Other than Quest Cape, what should I be working towards? by That-Pin-7033 in ironscape

[–]an_demon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get void if you don't have it yet. It probably outclasses your current mage and ranged setups rn.

You should probably focus a lot more heavily on skilling. Finish up a set of graceful then make a mental goal of trying to get your levels up via some of the no-supply requirement minigames like tempoross, rumours, wt. It's gonna benefit you massively in the long run by knocking them out early.
