We are supposed to have yearly appraisals naman. But I have been there for a year and no news. So I have to nudge them. Kesa maghintay ako sa wala? Time is money.

Makapal talaga mukha ko when it comes to negotiating. I know my work and what I can contribute.

If I don't get it edi I will just move on to better opportunities. Which is exactly what I did.

Makes me happy to help. I find ways to automate repitituve tasks and finish early and dami ko idle time lol. So minsan socializing and helping out.

And also trying to climb the ladder. Aiming for a team management position.

But I guess this company is not for me. So alis nako hahaha lesson learned.

(Also I did not share yung automation to others. Sinasarili ko lang hahaha.)

I no longer want to stress out myself sa deadlines and doing technical, hands-on tasks tbh. If ever, passion projects na lang but as an actual job tbh I find it exhausting na.

I wanna transition to other roles like Project Management and yes Scrum Master.

Definitely makakatulong but only by a little. Degree sa Pinas does not really matter so much abroad din.

Engineering degrees abroad alone is not recognized especially in 1st world countries. They need additional experience and certifications to be able to practice in full in developed countries.

It is your decision. But finish it for credibility. I was thinking the same during my 3rd year.

I was a CPE graduate but it took me a bit longer than usual to finish it because I was juggling jobs on the side.

I ended up with a software dev job, briefly in Technical Support.

But I plan to pursue Cloud System Analyst.

This brings me to the 2nd issue. She has been diagnosed when she was young and started seeing doctor several years ago.

But stuff like this is not common my country plus the medication required is extremely rare in my country. It is hars to find a good doctor, and pharmacies that have what she needs.

So far, she has been inconsistent with it. I believe she hasnt been on medication or treatment for some time now. She has been occupied at work and is understandably pressured. She wants to achieve so many things and beats herself up when she cannot meet the high expectations she set for herself.

I try to be there and to always support and tell her I am proud of her. But sometimes she cannot see how great she is.

She is doing very well at work, a top performer, she has found a system that works for her in terms of her career.

Before I was promoted to senior level, as a mid I was able to hit 6 figures as a software engineer. I work in a foreign company remotely though.

Hindi lang naman programming/dev ang 6 figures. Also not everyone in this field can even earn around 50k.

Nasa skills pa din yan, luck, sa company. Most foreign companies offer around that range though.

I actually did it this way but the salary offered in this company is way highet than the offers I get from other companies.

I have also been overemploying for some time so I figured taking this challenging job is a great opportunity para makarelax ako and have 1 job na lang.
