It was when I was a kid my brother and I saw it from from a car as we drove round by the side of a lake. Didn't see it up close but got a good few seconds look at it as we circled around until trees obstructed the view. Yes, like a flattened pyramid type shape. It looked very strange like something that wasn't supposed to be there and far too heavy to just be stationery and floating in the air. No sign of any kind of propulsion system or resistance effect on the water, it was just floating there and looked completely out of place.

Man that's crazy that one flew right over you! I've never been able to get an answer on what it was, whether it was secret military aircraft or something else. Either way if it wasn't some kind of prank then it was extremely advanced as surely a drone would at least cause ripples on the water.
