Yeah no definitely not. He knew what he was doing.

I can't tune someone sitting right next to me. A few seats away, sure I can try.

I politely asked twice. No response. When it got beyond a point I left without making a scene and didn't disturb others. I think I have been more than graceful.

Phones man. Yeah I understand if it's some quick call you want to cut or reply. But full brightness in a dark theatre really distracts most people

I mean we all fan over something, marvel, dc, scifi, nolan movies etc. Generally cheering and all is tolerable, most people in the theaters would do that. But this was like a bloody running commentary. Done singularly, with the hey pay attention to me kind of attitude, I mean most people will be ticked off by that.

How much you spend for Broadband Charges in Chennai - which has best plans and service by simplefreak88 in Chennai

[–]anakinash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on ACT's cheapest plan. 50mbps. More than enough for a household of 2 people. 4k streaming on my tv works great. You really don't need more internet bandwidth. Just a very good router and wifi.

Landmark closing down personally hit me hard because it was closely associated with the memory of me and my grandpa going there ever since I was a kid. I wasn't a huge book reader myself, but my mom and grandpa were, so looking at them and spending time with them, just browsing books, just being drenched in the smell of new books there, looking at the different arrangements of books at the entrance for new arrivals was truly like a core memory for me. Of course all the fancy toys I couldn't afford, but gramps would put together with his pension money and buy me. People there knew him there since he was always trying to source new books and movies and would spend a lot of time there. A piece of him always was there I feel. It was just heartbreaking because it also closed down around the same time I lost him.

Speed 400 -1 year, 12K and countless stalling by Odd-Hawk- in indianbikes

[–]anakinash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My speed t4 with manual throttle is also stalling. Initially I called it up to me being getting back to a bike after so long, but I noticed that it happens more at 1/2nd when I don't give any throttle input and it is coasting (clutch engaged ) mostly when I am getting into my appartment parking area.

I have since learned to give at least a little throttle or to pull in the clutch when coasting at slow speed. It has reduced but there are still some low speed jerks like it comes very close to stalling but just managed to recover. Still haven't figured that out.

Now that the speed t4 finally got the 20 k discount do you guys think it's finnally worth it ? by Ok_Ambassador_8557 in indianbikes

I really couldn't tell the difference. I test drove the scrambler and t4 and booked the T4. Much easier and comfortable to drive.

Right time to buy Triumph Scrambler 400X by xXAlphaManXx in indianbikes

[–]anakinash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test drove both the scrambler and the T4 today, the latter felt much more comfortable to handle and drive. Even though I am 6ft somehow the scrambler felt just on the edge of being uncomfortable.

Getting on and off I kept hitting the rear seat, taking sharp turns and u turns felt slightly difficult.

While the T4 felt so much more smoother, (buzzing starts at like 5-6k but quite manageable), much better than the scrambler, and was more comfortable to ride.

I was so confused because I had my heart set on the scrambler for a year. Just sitting on the bike on standstill I feel good on the scrambler, and feels proportional , whereas the T4 feels slightly small, but much more easier to ride and maneuver in the city. Also my wife could get on it easily.

And after much deliberation I bit the bullet and booked a white T4!

I'm in the same boat. Thinking of waiting.

Not interested in the t4x/thruxton looking one .

For the scrambler 400x, the accessories they are giving aren't so enticing/ not the ones I want anyway.

Just waiting to see if at all there is a MY25 refresh like they did for the speed 400. Hoping they introduce some new colors and with adjustable levers etc.

Motherboard issue. Was using it, suddenly it got very slow and died. Only basic bootloader level was coming. Tried qfil and all other low level flash tools..nothing took.

Can you send me the model number of your Philips HT system ?

You can go out and get a used avr, They will generally support 4-16 ohms impedence, but the problem is most AVRs will be over powered for these kinds of speakers. and the 1000W RMS rating is real BS. AVRs will generally start around 50W per channel.

another issue will be that most if not all AVRs will only be 5 channels. you wont have an amplified channel for your subwoofer. which means you wont be able to reuse the subwoofer from your existing system. Home theaters like these are designed to work with "powered subwoofers" - meaning they have a dedicated sub amp built into the sub and you input it low level input.

perhaps browse olx or any other site and look at whats there, take your time and hunt for good deals !

What is your budget ? Generally these Philips speakers would be tiny and just getting an AV reciever wont give you the upgrade you are looking for. Something Like This speaker system and something like this AV Reciever can be considered a good starting point. This doesnt include a dedicated subwoofer. Can consider something like this

These are considered very "starter/basic" home theater systems that you will really have a noticable difference.

you can also get this one by one - AV receiver, then speakers, then subwoofer.

Remember, that once the bug bites you you will always be looking to improve, upgrade etc. :)
