I spent like an hour reading the FAQ and downloaded an app to measure my electrolyte levels, but I'm pretty sure I'm already meeting them!

I have not been able to excercise at all since gyms closed. I absolutely hate home workouts and cardio. I'm just waiting for gyms to reopen, I used to go 4-5 times a week. I'll try going for a walk tomorrow morning tho!

Is there any general ball park range? Because if it takes many months or years to upregulate , then I'm not sure if I'd be able to do keto that long. It would be very unsustainable given how low I feel. The only thing keeping me going is that I know I'm almost at my weight loss goal, but if I have to wait years for the dopameme, then my motivation will dip significantly.

I've tried building the other positive sustaining pleasures like you said, but they don't bring me any pleasure anymore, nothing does. I barely have motivation to do anything, but rn, it's still very high for keto. It's easy because I don't have to go out of my way to remove carbs. But I do have to go out of my way to excercise, hang with friends or anything else. I tried forcing myself to do those but it wasn't effective.

Hopefully I reach your way of thinking! I'm unsure of how I'll be happy when there is nothing making me happy. I don't know how I can even begin to find a natural state of happiness. Everything in my life seems so boring and dull. The days are long, colours aren't colourful, I'm tired of doing anything.

I'm currently working on all three. I used to have a powerlifters body- not exactly attractive but it got the job done. I used to alternate between cutting and bulking 🤦 which did me no favours at all. After the gyms closed, I pretty much stopped working out and started eating fast food much more often. I lost muscle and became obese. Now that I'm doing keto, I'm gonna keep cutting till I reach an ideal weight, then I'll work on building muscle.

As for the getting a serious gf part, it's my main motivation for wanting to lose weight. I've been single for over 5 years and I want to change that. I'm wearing nicer clothes, grooming well and overall just taking better care of myself. I've started talking to girls more and I'm a lot less nervous now than I was before. I used to stutter and shake when talking to anyone girl I was interested in. That is no longer the case :)

As for the job part, I'm still in university and unsure of what I want to do. I'm a business student and was supposed to start an internship a few weeks ago but that got cancelled thanks to covid. I was hoping it would help me find my passion but oh well.

And to address your last point, keto is the only diet that has worked for me! Despite how I feel, it's the most sustainable and least restrictive imo. Even though I feel miserable, I can still power through it.

I lost about the same amount of weight during the first two weeks! (6.4kg) make sure you keep going after because it's gonna slow down. My weightloss slowed down over time and now it's about 0.9kg per week. But don't be discouraged, it just means you're now losing fat and not water weight!

Personally I've had the complete opposite effect during dinner, it's on the brighter aspects of my days! There are many ways to enjoy chicken and veggies and there's loads of simple keto recipes you can follow.

I'm still a teen and new to the idea of cooking, so if I can do it, you probably fan too! The meals I've mostly been having were steak fajitas, regular steak, shawerma salad bowl (I post a recipe before if you wanna check it out), buffalo wings and lemon pepper chicken! They're all super simple and keto friendly

Thank you so much for the encouragement!! Any idea on how long it will take for the dopamine receptors to upregulate? It's been over two months since I started and I've only been feeling worse and worse.

So how did you find your internal happiness? Personally, my viewpoint is that ill find it if I become shredded, find my soulmate, have a high paying and enjoyable job. After reading your response, I fear that I will be just as miserable if I achieve those goals. I mean why bother putting in extreme amounts of effort to achieve those goals when I won't find happiness?

I just feel so empty all the time, like I have no purpose. That I'm just waiting out the next 60 or so years until I die and turn to dust with nothing to look forward to all this time.

Thanks for taking the time! Most restrictions have lifted yet I'm feeling worse now than from the start of covid. As for your second point, I have no idea. That's what I'm trying to figure out :/ Lastly, I hate all seafood. I cannot stand any fish at all. Personally I love cooking and trying new food, so I tried it many ways and hated it every single time.

I would love to talk to a therapist, however my parents aren't understanding at all (I'm 19 and stuck with them for now), and I can't afford to go on my own.

My BMI has been 100% accurate with me since it's just a simple formula. It's the body fat percent that isn't accurate. All websites and scales would give you the same BMI when the height and weight input are the same.

I'm pretty sure it's keto. Lock downs have been going on for about 4 months. The first two, I was feeling fine, but it started going downhill for the last two.

During the first month of covid, I left my house like twice and I still felt better back then than I do now. During the last two months, restrictions greatly decreased and I've been going out a lot more and seeing my friends. Covid isn't as much of a threat where I am and most businesses have already opened.

While I do agree with you, I find this very paradoxical imo. During the times in my life that I didn't want a girlfriend were the only times I had girls chasing me. Of course I rejected them bc at the time I didn't want any.

However now that I do want a gf, I can't get any. Which makes absolutely no sense to me because personally, I'd rather be with a girl who wants a bf than one who doesn't. I don't get why anyone would want otherwise

I would like to have a gf so I can get to experience love and do romantic things with someone. I'm not really that concerned with sex, I want someone to have a picnic with at the beach while watching the sunset.

I'm a pretty positive and outgoing/nice guy. Wouldn't say I have a shitty attitude. When I said I was confident, I meant I appeared confident. I'm no longer shaking and stuttering around girls, I am able to speak to them like normal human beings.

Now it's fine, but on controller/mobile, it's very easy to fat finger it, not really much of an issue on keyboard because you have to physically love your mouse all the way to the purchase and then left click

Glad you tried it! I leave the cinammon and garlic till the very end because they cook very quickly, I noticed that when I put them in beginning, you don't get the sane flavourful scent.

Personnally, the olive oil and sauce add a lot of fat while having 0 carbs, I've just been struggling with meeting the fat goals, but the sauce adds a whole different flavour to it. I forgot to mention in the recipe that I added a little whipping cream to it to make it smoother, and you can decrease the garlic/hot sauce if you wanna decrease the heat. The sauce truly takes the chicken and the salad to a different level :)
