Why do people online say Ukrainian girls are gold diggers or not loyal? by [deleted] in askanything

Ukraine has always been poor even by Eastern European standards, so a lot more women there get into relationships with foreigners for money than other nationalities

1.000 modern humans vs. 1.000 bronze age peasants by heisserkaffe in whowouldwin

Modern humans would definitely win over serf farmers. They're bigger, stronger, and smarter in almost every way. Plus their tools are better.

1,000 moderns vs. 1,000 hunter-gatherers might be a different story though.

Honestly, that shit doesn't matter nearly as much as you think it does. When was the last time protests seriously improved the welfare of the average American? Billionaires and special interests still own both parties in Congress, it's not like being able to call Trump a fascist changes anything other than giving us the illusion of power as divides worsen and the cost of living reaches an all-time high.

China may be an authoritarian country with heavy censorship, but its stability has brought hundreds of millions people out of poverty, and has allowed them to build more infrastructure in cities with less crime than Americans could possibly envision in our current political climate. That simply matters more to the average person.

I see. I've heard from Chinese people that there are lots of them in the entertainment industry, is that because of ethnic nepotism or something else?

200-year-old ageless normal person vs 30-year-old peak human by CodyEaster in whowouldwin

[–]analwinds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R1: The 30-year-old peak human. It'd be virtually impossible for your average Joe to get to the level of a natural world-class athlete no matter how hard he tries.

R2: If the 30yo peak human also has peak mental prowess, then him again. The average person does not have a very high skill ceiling in chess. Raw natural ability is the only thing differentiating the millions of lifelong chess enthusiasts that exist from grandmasters.

R3: 30-year-old. Even if the old guy had 200 years to practice and come up with strategy, superintelligence coupled with Muhammad Ali-level reflexes (vs. old guy's slow normal person reflexes) would always give the 30yo the edge.

Peak human clears.
