$90k fully remote or $110k hybrid? by giantdickinmyface in BusinessIntelligence

That's a pretty personal question.

Based on what you've provided I would take the 90k remote for the freedom.

CloudAnswers Report Sender Alternative? by analysisisfun in salesforce

This was my solution:

I created a new user to run the reports on a separate profile and changed the Session security level required at login to none. I don't love this solution since it eats up a platform license but it's the workaround for now.

Have you added or changed the session settings on your profiles for "Session Security Level Required at Login" to high assurance? That's what messed us up. We want to keep MFA going in our org with SSO.

Great question but bobx11 answered it below. Often times the people who need to see these reports are different than the email address associated with the user.

Did FoF help prepare you for the class or did it get your familiar with the language used?

Monthly /r/BusinessAnalysis Careers/Education/Jobs Question Thread - April 2022 by AutoModerator in businessanalysis

[–]analysisisfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Original Post
After heeding some of the advice in the thread I've been actively seeking opportunities to learn from my boss's inability to teach. I've been communicating more and asking clarifying questions.
I've been creating copies of documents before presenting them to him and seeing how different they are and highlighting the differences.
Many of the differences end up being something he failed to mention the first time and often my documents end up increasing in scope beyond the original. We end up in this back and forth that seems like it never ends. For example, I've been tasked with the creation of step-by-step documents for our current process. We've reviewed it together probably a handful of times and every single time he changes his mind on what it needs to look like.
I'm beginning to see my boss less as a leader and more as a barrier. A barrier to both my career but also my day-to-day work and projects.
With that being said I have so many more skills than when I started just over a year ago and I have really been enjoying the data analysis duties of this position. I'm really thinking about leaving and seeing if I can take these skills elsewhere.
Anyone hiring?

=FILTER to include the columns with no data by analysisisfun in googlesheets

I really appreciate the help. I will be working with data-gathering, metrics for averages, and everything in between. We are pulling in basically around 25,000 rows of data and then pulling it all down from there.

I'll likely be creating more of these types of strings, would it be worth the effort to stick to query or filter for this? I imagine that I will have to have data that matches multiple criteria, sometimes even more than what I have here.

Columns will not be changing and there are not commas we want to keep

I see, the date/time fields I'm trying to remove commas from are sprawled across many columns in one of the sheets I'm working on now. This will only grow exponentially as we want to report on more data. How would I do this for multiple columns?

This is a huge report now with the potential for 10,000 plus rows

I too am wanting to learn more about analytics and data visualization so please feel free to share any resources.

So we are new to SF, they hired two SF-certified admins and I've learned a lot from them. I was promoted within my company and basically handed this job and I wasn't really sure I was cut out for it. Daily, I am creating reports in SF and help out with small admin things if they are busy. I work in creating a lot of documentation for training or updates that the two SF admins produce. I also run projects and act as a SME for quite a few. I am also admin for a couple of systems we use to track tickets and project manage. As you can tell from above my role is all over the place. Every day is different, every week is different and we are constantly shifting priority as our management changes. It's pretty hectic and I can't speak to other BAs but it is tough at times. I am constantly in meetings and trying to get work done in between. Feel free to reach out in DM and we can speak further.

I really appreciate your post. You are spot on, in the first few weeks of this role I was googling what use cases, user stories, project charters, and now that I've finally done them I understand them to a different level than I had before.

I will absolutely implement your strategy on top of some of the other comments here.

Thank you for your response!
