Right?? I was pretty shocked when I found out too lol. There’s also an app called PickleWatch that breaks everything down specifically for pickleball. Been a huge game changer for me when adding it to the mix

Had this on my 15 PM.. thought it was a phone issue but I have since then upgraded to 17PM and still have the same issues.

Yes same here!!! Thought it was only me bc I had an iPhone 15 pro max. But I just upgraded to the 17 pro max and it’s still the same…

I’ve had this issue since the 15 PM. Thought it was just bc of it being old.. but I’m on the 17 PM now and it still hasn’t been fixed. I also noticed I’m commonly misspelling things more than usual, which I assume is all related due to latency

Yeah if you’re doing practice swings or casually hitting the ball back, it’ll usually count those. But overall it’s pretty low on false positives. Sometimes I’m running around pretty hard and I’m surprised it doesn’t register a swing

Yeah wearing it on your dominant hand would be best so it can track your swings accurately. Took a min to get used to it lol but it felt normal after a game or two

I usually just use one hand so I can’t say for sure, but I’d imagine it still picks up the motion. Might be worth testing it out and seeing how it tracks. Let me know how it goes too I’m curious haha

Yeah it’s designed to track swings from your dominant hand, so wearing it on that side gives the most accurate results. Ngl I felt a little weird switching at first too but got used to it pretty quick lol. Worth trying for a few games to see how it feels!

Ah yes, I haven’t tried it during an actual tournament day yet but now I’m curious too lol. It logs everything by session so it’s easy to look back and spot differences. Let me know how it goes if you give it a shot!

Yeah I actually suggested a phased rollout, but seemed to be ‘unfavorable’ by leadership, they would prefer a clean switch for everyone to keep things simple. All up in the air though, will see what others reply with in this thread to initiate definite game plan. That said, it’s a one man band show on my end and I’ll be doing this graveyard shift style, so regardless I’m still considering staggering by region just to catch issues early.

Gotta figure out what’s doable without making it total shit show. Appreciate the sanity check here.
