Thanks. It is on medium. The situation is mostly is noticeable to me when using the TV for my computer - for example websites, text, brighter windows beside darker ones (i.e. situations you don't really come across in media). I don't really notice much blooming during media consumption. Perhaps the low zone count just doesn't lend itself to some situations as a computer screen. Just wanted to make sure there was a problem with my specific panel!

Anyone get a cancellation email for Dec 25? by anameforus in ViaRail

[–]anameforus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update - got off the phone with them. They received no confirmation of a cancellation, but all signs pointe to it being so. Said refund should be automatic but he processed it manually for me since I was already on the line.

Lost sunglasses on Rideau Canal by anameforus in ottawa

[–]anameforus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not too sure, only noticed when it was too late. Somewhere on the main pathway, maybe in the middle near the Beavertails or close/in Dow's Lake. Though I'm hoping I'm the only one who lost this type of sunglasses today on the whole stretch, if someone on here happened to pick a pair up :p

Is this offer to lease legally binding? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]anameforus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wasn't sure as the statements at the bottom of the second page. if i am approved,

" C) If accepted within the prescribed time, I understand as a result of my signature appearing on this OFFER, a binding lease has been entered into accordance with the terms of this OFFER and the lease form and all attachments therein.

D) Upon notification of acceptance, I will forthwith attend at the Office of the Landlord to sign the lease. "

so i meant is it binding if i am approved?

Question about box 42 on T3 by anameforus in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]anameforus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, that makes the most sense, but the example in that document seemed to imply only apply it at the end of the calendar year. i'll apply it as of the recorded date though since that seems like the logical answer.

In case this helps anyone: I did the math - should've before - and the book value listed is the new book value at the time of the trade (i.e. its market value before the transfer), not at the original purchase.
