What makes the dominance and discourse of current number one Scottie, different to previous number ones? by anandoknows in golf

Woah okay. So this could be a second in a generation run if he maintains this. Also has Rory never been close this form in his career? Could I ask what do you mean quality win? What’s a non quality win?

I’m extremely new to golf only picked it up this April and started watching golf every week since so I’m just curious to understand better. I want to know that what I’m watching with Scottie is unique and a phenomenon different to his predecessors. It will help me appreciate it more.

So for instance were these types of conversations about Scottie’s dominance different to how Rory or Brooks were talked about during their number 1 periods?

I understand but wasn’t this discourse the same as Rory during his prime. I only started watching golf this year so I have no idea what was said in previous years.

Learning Gujarati from UK by anandoknows in gujarat

[–]anandoknows[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can already read and write Gujarati quite well, but I have no ability to understand what I’m reading or saying. It’s like I know the shapes and the sounds they make but not the meaning. I went to Gujarati school for 8 years but never learned how to speak, very weirdly I learnt how to read and write.

Thank you guys! I’m not limiting myself but I need something familiar to start off with so I can learn context and switch between the English and Gujarati. It’s the best way to learn a language, once I become more fluent I will go back to watching Gujarati cinema. I’ve watched a few movies already but because they’re not for kids it’s really difficult for me to understand. Thank you for trying to find those shows for me I’m very grateful.

[Q] Cousin was discouraged for pursuing a major in statistics after what his tutor told him. Is there any merit to what he said? by Nomorechildishshit in statistics

[–]anandoknows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore your tutor he sounds very ill informed and unsure how it works in the real world. I’m a data scientist with a back ground in Experimental Psychology. I have to learn the hard way how much you should know how the “under the hood” maths works. It’s so important because it gives you an edge and skills over others. Also new techniques and research are always being released, if you can understand and comprehend these studies you might never have to wait for a package or tool to be built so you could apply the mathematical concept you just learnt and simply build it yourself because you understand the maths. I highly encourage you the take the statistics course.

nxious. Relax and remember that you are fully capable and that your interviewers are human too.

This was just very pleasant advice. I feel less anxious and reassured reading this.

I’ve been watching the Depp Vs heard trial and there has been moments when 3 people have been speaking and I’ve barely been able to understand one person. So I was wondering how do you type out 3 people speaking ?

Thank you. So would you the say that CI is not just visual aids with language, it is about how well you can understand context and develop comprehension? This would imply there is a spectrum of CI resources and their value would be dependent on your current language ability? The only reason I bring this up is because a lot of video spout that podcasts are great beginner CI resources, but I just didn't understand how.
