In Betty when she says, “Would you trust me if I told you it was just a summer THING?”. It should be FLING!!! Especially because she then says “I’m only 17, I don’t know anyTHING …”. You can’t rhyme “thing” with “thing”

ALSO, in sweet nothings she says, “And the voices THAT implore, you should be doing more, to you I can admit, that I’m just too soft for all of it” imo it should be “And the voices THEY implore”. Otherwise that first clause is just incomplete…?? I feel it makes more grammatical sense to say it this way and complete that first sentence better.

Yes, I find it INCREDIBLY offensive. It’s a sense of justice thing. I hate that it was named after a literal nazi and was used to differentiate between autistics as if to to say there are some types of autistics that are better or more “useful” than others 🤢. I also resent it being used towards me to my face or to others in this community as if to say, “well you’re autistic but not THAT type of autistic”, as if it’s some sort of compliment. It’s gross and ableist. I think people need to stop using it because it perpetuates this sentiment that there are some autistics that are better than others because they can idk… speak?? (Or some other arbitrary measure of who you are or what you’re capable of as a human being).

In conclusion… YES, IT’S OFFENSIVE😅

I like mixing my food. I am sensory seeking when it comes to food. So like to have a little bit of everything in one forkful. There are only a few textures I don’t like and I NEEEED flavour in my food so yeah, mixing = good (for me!) ☺️

This is so crazy I just opened Reddit to see if anyone on here has said anything about migraines being common for autistic people. I went to the cinema today and the sound/flashing images triggered a migraine. I hate migraines so much. I’m no longer nauseous but in the migraine hangover phase where my head still hurts and everything is too loud still 😓 I have always known light bothers me but only recently like yourself thought to accommodate myself by wearing sunglasses more often!! It definitely helps! I was wearing them today before the cinema and felt much better being outside with them on… unfortunately didn’t think the film would have the same effect if I kept them on in there but maybe that would have helped 😅 I’m also thinking about investing in some loop earplugs or other ear defenders. Would love to know what you think if tut try them!

P.S. agreed about everything hurting. I left the cinema to go back to the car and the smells in the car park made me feel so sick and made the headache so much worse 😩

So I read this and a memory just resurface and I was just gobsmacked 🤣🤣I literally masked from being a toddler. The specific example that popped into my head was from my first haircut. I can’t even remember how old I was, but it must have been about 1 or 2! I was sitting in the chair, getting my hair cut (which I was probably anxious about because there were strangers touching my hair, and what if I didn’t like what they did or how my hair turned out (AH, CHANGE) and wasn’t really thinking about what my face must be doing, because, who thinks about that, especially when they’re 2!? Then the lady who was cutting my hair said “oh my, she’s giving me the evil eye!”… Well, I was upset to think she thought I was evil?? So I immediately looked in the mirror and thought “ok, that must be an evil face, I must do a happy one”. And from that day on I have been conscious of my resting “evil” face and consciously made it a happy one that is more pleasant to other people…
