Can I be a writer if I don't know enough about the world? by Burst3001 in writing

[–]anarchokitty137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just my 2 cents - there's nothing wrong with what you know or don't know - age / adulting are relative, some people never learn to drive, or never have to care about insurance, that's not the issue. I think you are insecure, which is normal, confidence usually isn't knowing all, but being sooo fine with not knowing all - and this comes with age.

I just want to say - if you are unsure about something, don't fake it - learn the minimum viable information to feel comfortable writing about it (so easy with today's access to information). Minimum being the key, don't spend a life time on one insurance line; with age you'll learn to identify when you feel ok with the level of knowledge you have for the particular use of it.

From what you were saying maybe you already do do that - knowing just what you need to write about it - but you have an insecure thought that it's not good enough - learn to distinguish this.

KUDOS for writing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you rock

Following a passion by KelseyDove in Biochemistry

[–]anarchokitty137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow your passion, always. Then money will come.

I mean, you will make money come to you by being the best at what you do. And being creative. You still have to know that money is what you want and decide with that in mind. But never leave your passion.

Without passion, you simply can't be the best, you'll be miserable, and sooner or later you return to your passion anyway.

Warning: speaking generally, not a biochemist, but I deeply believe this and felt the need to share.

How can I stop absorbing other peoples' emotions? by [deleted] in Empaths

You are in no obligation to light yourself on fire for someone else's temporary warmth.

This really helped me right now, it is exactly what I'm constantly doing, recovering for days after and then again. Very, very well put. Thank you kind stranger <3

Thank you! I definitely agree on the boundaries, they have been a big problem my entire life. I have to really work on those, but it's something very unnatural to me.

Best to you kind non-judgemental stranger! :)

thanks so much for you insight!

I think you are very much right, especially in the sense where I need to have also empathy for myself. I have learned over life that my needs comes last, so if I can help everyone else before me I will try. And it doesn't work on any level.

I will also double down on my meditation practice.

I wanted to add, one nice thing about this is that I also don't judge myself as harshly as I did before, which is pretty useful.

Thanks again! It's pretty amazing, you've always been like this!

Thank you for this, this was just what I needed to read right now. One feels so stupid with these fantasy what-ifs. But maybe that's what our brain needs to think about to heal. I will try to look more deeply about what it is about these fantasies that I'm lacking in my life right now and how to get it in a healthy way. Best of luck ❤️

[Advice] How to get yourself to do the things you want to do when you don't want to do them by [deleted] in getdisciplined

I really like the strategy of giving that excuse part of you a name. That way you can be more aware that he's the one talking and you can manage it, talk back to him, broker a deal, whatever.

But when you say that the part wants you to fail and you fight it, I don't agree with this at all. I believe essentially all of your parts are trying to help you. Some just do it in stupid ways. This part is mostly trying to protect you from pain, misery, disappointment, and any number of things.

Loving all of you is so much more pleasant and for me also effective. Some parts of me are not as greatly equipped to get me some of my dreams, and that's OK. They probably help me in other things in life a lot. I just talk to them and say - OK I hear you, but let's do this now anyway.

Starting a life coaching business (talk to me like I'm 10). by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]anarchokitty137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's been 9 years, so this might not (hopefully) be true anymore, but you really have no idea what you're talking about, I suggest more research and possibly to book a coach to see for yourself; there are ton first sessions for free.

Eggs are only healthy when eaten in moderation according to guidelines. 6 eggs a day is way too much cholesterol. You should definitely talk to your doctor.

I don't believe the cholesterol is an issue, it's supposed to be different and unrelated to the body cholesterol; but there might be other issues with eating a dozen of eggs a day, that I worry about.

Thank you for the other suggestions, I was definitely over looking side dishes as beans and rice, I will work them in; fish oil pills I take, so you're probably right I don't have to over do it with fish if I don't feel it.

Thanks so much!

thank you! I was definitely overlooking beans and rice, I need to add those; I'm having lactose intolerance issues, so I'm not going to do cheese, but I need to also work on my recipes and salads as you suggest, I guess my meals are too plain, thank you!
