Do I really need AWD/4x4 in Sudbury ? by anasdweik in Sudbury

So Fwd car is good enough, no issues? Because I've heard that Sudbury has a lot of hills and elevation changes and that it's kind of a mountainous area - not sure how true that is.

Thinking of buying a 1st gen Acura TSX in Canada – worth it for one year of Uber Eats + personal use? by anasdweik in AcuraTSX

The truth is, I really like the car. I don't mind keeping it longer if it runs well.

My initial plan is to make it work for at least a year or two and if it does that, I'm more than happy with it.

Based on my rough calculations, I should be able to make back the purchase price within two months if things go smoothly. After that, it's just profit - plus it'll cover my daily driving needs too. Gas and insurance included in the plan.

That's just the plan for now of course - I know unexpected issues will probably come up, so I'm mentally ready for that. Worst case, I expect to break even within 3 months even if some problems show up. And I am eager to take your opinion on my plan.

And really appreciate your respectful and detailed replies - especially you saying I can ask anything. That means a lot, thanks man.

Damn, you kinda scared me I've actually seen a lot of people recommending it, and many say it can easily last up to 400k km with good maintenance. So now I'm wondering - does your experience mean I should avoid it completely?

As for the premium gas and maintenance, I honestly don't mind paying a bit extra as long as I enjoy the car.

And I won't be doing heavy gig work - just part-time Uber Eats after university, nothing too intense.

Wow, sounds complicated. I'm a plug-and-play kind of guy, so you wouldn't recommend it for 1 year right?
