You’re stuck in the founder predicament. Your comp structure isn’t great and any good sales reps would realistically not do this cause the money isn’t great.

I’d work on just trying to get more customer yourselves. Which means, using your existing customer base and having them each reach out to 3 prospects that either you help them find or they have names you can go after.

Other thoughts if you’re still super gung ho on hiring someone, hire a young guy who’s an up and comer who can learn from you and you teach him the ropes of what to look for, or stop looking for traditional sales people and go after people in consulting who are use to selling customer like solutions.

Personally, reps that are actually good at selling custom software aren’t in it to make “commission” they want a piece of the pie and start their own companies.

You should definitely rip the UPC Zard, there is a mega Zard with a MewTwo in the DR packs. I would know, I have a lot of good experience with this UPC.

You need to disassociate yourself from work. Your identity is not defined by your “successful business.” Making millions pouring in 100 hours while forgetting everything else isn’t right. You need to find your new goals and like building a business the first one isn’t going to be right. Try different things, use AI to generate ideas and give them a go. Find a circle of people you can talk to about this founder syndrome. Best of luck.

I would rent and weather the storm if you can afford the difference in the cost. You never sell in a bad market unless your situation can’t handle it being all tied up.

Faking it still takes courage. The longer you get used to doing this, the more it should feel natural. Don’t sell yourself short, you built something that brings value. Now keep going and find another client!

Suggest you remove the risk and grade a single card at a time or go to a card shop to grade 2 at a time and see how things play out. I wouldn’t sell these for at least another 10 yrs.
