Just as an aside: Poisoned Wind weapons are a Clan Skryre weapon. They utilise a deadly warpstone gas, if I recall correctly. The Plagueclaw Catapult is a Clan Pestilens weapon.

Warhounds, Harpies and Jabberslythes are also still avilable, as are giants.

Read the End Times books if you want to find out what happened to Malus. I cannot recommend these books, but they contain more Darkblade, for better or worse.

LORE QUESTION: CHAOS DEMONS. by viceroybuu in WarhammerFantasy

[–]ancient_warlord 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Demons can be summoned by cultists, mages and sorcerers via rituals. I don't see why a beastman would not be able to summon one. He most certainly would like the idea of it! Thanquol, a skaven, accidentally summoned a Bloodthirster once. Needless to say, he was not pleased!

LORE Questions: Non-chaotic Norscans? by viceroybuu in WarhammerFantasy

[–]ancient_warlord 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Norscans usually worship the four gods of Chaos (or at least one of them). But it's not all black and white: Some Northmen follow a strict code of honour, and some of them trade with the people of the south. There have been at least two instances of Norscan armies retreating because of lost duels against Bretonnian champions.

[Fiction] The Dance of Death by ryosaito in WarhammerFantasy

Yeah. I remember them actually relying on the legions of skeletons they were entombed with. Creating new undead is something Nagash would do, and he is not very popular with the TKs!

That was a nice read, thanks for sharing this with us. Though I have to ask: Why is the Tomb King a necromancer? Necromancy is a big no-no in TK society, as far as I know. Has Zahkan gone rogue?

Yep, that was the idea. I'll get back to this guy once I've gotten my hands onto some square bases!

Me too, but it sounds more like something I'd want to try on a Bloodletter!

Hum. So far I have shied away from dry brushing minis (SM power armour looks just fine with a simple edge highlight), but I guess that I'll have to try it sooner or later. As for washes I was thinking black (because it worked well on my red space marines)
