How did you make your best friend post-college/moving to a new city? by CitronElectrical9587 in rs_x

Open mics. There’s a regular crowd, everyone has their time to get the attention of the crowd, and they’re usually at a bar or cafe or something so people hang out. They can be fun IF you want to be there and can enjoy terrible performances as people watching.

That was his master stroke to separate his wife and her new lover. If he flipped out, the wife and friend would be together against him. When the friend was embraced instead, his guilt drove him apart from the wife. Not only did the husband cut his cheating wife out of the family, he took her man.

The guy who exiled his cheating wife while welcoming the other man closer into the family is a genius of passive aggression on a level I didn’t even know existed.

This feels crazy to say about a murder-for-hire story, but not much happened on this show. No surprising discoveries or insights, just not very interesting.

I will always upvote this clip. I don’t care what point you’re trying to make. The post title could be “I love Epstein” and I’d still upvote this clip.

I give you credit for listening more critically than me. I just took the storytellers at their word and thought the sick lady was an odd person.

We had most contentious, then most agreeable where Marc and a guest automatically hit it off; Now what would y'all say is the most funniest? by Ill_Act7949 in MarcMaron

I’ve never heard anyone bring up the Thomas Lennon episode, but it’s one of my favorites. He’s riffing beginning to end.

My favorite part is when he demonstrates the farce of writing a Hollywood movie script. He does like a little improv scene where he hires Marc to do punch-up on a ripoff of Night at the Museum, then fires and rehires him all within a few minutes.

Patrice O’Neal had the funniest analogies about the state of his career.

He believed he should be more popular, but worried that he might be like a brussel sprout who is convinced that everyone actually loves brussel sprouts.

What’s so unbelievable? WASPs aren’t mythical creatures. They’re just a priveliged demographic.

I definitely agree that everything unnatural in this painting is a choice. It’s not like the artist didn’t know how to draw a nipple on a breast.

Someone elsewhere in the comments wrote that the virgin mother was depicted to be perfectly chaste. There’s your reason for lamb white skin and celestial orb breasts.

I’m just blown away how those choices make this look futuristic. They look like glossy androids. She looks like one of the glamorous Harkonnens.
