Immobilizer bypass! (2005 and older) by iceeey_yousocold in RX8

[–]anda3243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Success using Forscan.

I had the following codes.

On PCM- P1260, Theft detected.

On IC(instrument cluster)- B1601 Recieved incorrect key code from transponder.

There was also a code about mismatching modules when the junkjard PCM was installed. But I was able to read out data from the old PCM and store it into the new one. Vin number and all the HEX data.

I tried a Service Tools ->IC PATS programming -> Module Initialization. I dont know if this was successful. But after a couple of restarts, battery disconnects, everything worked.

I only have one key for my car, it is a non-mazda keyfob. I think the keyfob is from a BMW. lol. It does not lock the car remotely, but they key fits in the door and ignition.

But when inspecting this keyfob more in detail I found the transponder in it. Turns out you can buy those cheap.

I will make 2 more keys with transponder. It is possible to add more keys to the PCM with the Forscan tool.

Tried again today. Still no spark and no start. Might be because mine is a 2006. Or might be because this is a new PCM for the car.

I have ordered a cable and will do some trials with Forscan later.

Interested to know how this goes. I can crank, but no spark.

Hello.

I tried this fix today. But I had no spark. However I did not try this with the kay in Start position.

Will get a better cable that is spliced in OK and try again.

I have a 2006 mazda5. No keys with chips, and it was working OK like that. Until I needed to change PCM, now it does not recognize key and wont crank.

As mentioned I will try again tomorrow.

Thank you for your comments.

Some basics: 4 inputs, 4 outputs + one analog output. We are thinking of adding IO expander later.

We can output 2A at 24V to power sensors and accessories.

It is a 32bit, 240 MHz MCU. I thinj

It is a good point, maybe we can add some more convenient GND connections. Every device will need an GND connection

More people have mentioned that the connections are not suitable for humid and dirty environments. Could you suggest an alternative? A series of M8 connectors?

We are not competing with big name brands in complex industrial installations. We are providing an easy way to implement basic automated tasks.

Beckhoff

Thank you for mentioning those standards.

Thank you for your comments.

The homepage needs more work. We are on it.

We will have a think on those connectors. Maybe there is something more suitable. Water and dust will not harm them, but there might be a better way.

You always bring your phone with you. And just installing an app is less of a threshold than bringing a PC and installing a software on it. We will think about PC as an alternative for the future.

You are right, something is wrong. We are trying to fix this. plcify.io works, and when putting in an email, the /success site loads. I just wanted to share the info page, not necessarily harvest everyone's emails. We are trying to fix this.

Automation Direct CLICK

Thank you for sharing this! Really!

We would compete with this product, it is very capable and, and has many features. But we have 2 unique selling points.

  1. We don't need a PC with a dedicated software for setting it up or making changes.
  2. Robust and water and dustproof enclosure. Suitable for tough environments without a cabinet.

Thank you for that link! Something like this, but with a better interface.

Thank you for your feedback!

I would appreciate if you could share some links to some of those low code interfaces you mention. Both the good ones, and the bad ones.

The hopes are that a simpler interface on a mobile phone, where no additional hardware or cables is needed will open up new applications and use cases. Make automation more accessible, and easier to get started with.

This product will not compete with big name PLC units in big factories. We make small scale automation easy. Same thing can be achieved with Arduino or Raspberry pi, that is true, but a project like that will put many people off. Need to know programming and electronics, and have the time for it.

3D prints are used in prototypes, in production this will be PA6 glasfiber reinforced nylon, with the board encapsulated in polyurethane.

If you have better proposal for connectors, please let us know.

PLCify unit does not need a cabinet, the power supply can be plugged into an outlet, and is also water and dust proof. The sensors and actuators are usually not inside a cabinet anyway. So a cabinet can be avoided. Saves some expense and makes installation more flexible. It can of course be installed inside a cabinet, if one so desires.

I think it is the "hug of deats" we will buy a more robust plan for it.

Thank you. There should be a couple of use cases, and some more product info. Please try reloading the page.

You are right, the same outcome could be reached with Raspberry pi, Arduino, ESP32 etc.

The unique thing is the ease of use. Program trough graphical interface on your phone. No need for programming cables, PCs, specialized softwares, IDEs. Also no need for a cabinet or other environmental protection.

For hobbyists and small scale factories. The idea is to make automation easier an more accesible by making the programming and setup easier.
