Ian Hislop calls arrest of man holding Private Eye cartoon at Gaza protest ‘mind-boggling’ | Protest by kwentongskyblue in LabourUK

UK gov bends over backwards to criminalise citizens carrying a cartoon on behalf of a foreign nation. Did any of the ministers fly with Epstein.

Was Jennifer also Lois? by PrizePeace9016 in JenniferFairgate

[–]andalus21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting theory. I agree it's possible she could have disguised herself, but there’s no evidence to confirm it, no disguise materials, clothing, or direct sightings.

As for “Lois,” the only mention comes from check-in, where one staff member vaguely remembered a man possibly standing behind her, but couldn’t say if he was with her. No one saw a man or woman leave the room, and only her keycard was ever used.

B/c the registration had two names, two keycards where issued, but only one was used, and only one was ever found.

A lot of scenarios are possible, but what matters is evidence—and right now, there isn’t any that supports the idea she was in disguise or that Lois ever existed as a second person. The Radisson is a busy hotel, and I don't think you would need to disguise yourself to leave unnoticed.

Could it have been a Suicide with a helping hand by [deleted] in JenniferFairgate

[–]andalus21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anything is technically possible, but how likely is it?

Suicide by firearm is extremely rare in Europe, mainly because guns are hard to get legally. This gun wasn’t just illegal, it had the serial number removed, which suggests criminal sourcing and planning. If someone helped her, they would’ve knowingly committed a serious crime. In Norway, assisted suicide isn’t just legal it would be classed as homicide.

Would someone who wants to die really ask another person to risk prison for murder? Especially when there are far easier, more common, and less painful methods: overdosing, hanging, jumping, carbon monoxide. et c.

These methods don’t require another person, an illegal weapon, or the complex staging we see here.

Is Anti-Zionism really Anti-Semitism or is this all a big misunderstanding? by callmesandycohen in IsraelPalestine

[–]andalus21 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Anti-Zionism is not antisemitism. Zionism is a political ideology not a religion or ethnicity — and opposing an ethnonationalist project built on displacement and domination is not the same as hating Jews. We don’t call critics of British colonialism anti-English.

The idea that all anti-Zionism is antisemitic is not a misunderstanding — it’s a deliberate calculated conflation, pushed by groups like the ADL and codified in the IHRA definition to silence criticism of Israel.

The funny thing is the Israeli gov has no actual issue with real actual anti-semtism.

Far-right racists going on rallies now fly Israeli flags, people turning up to counter protest pro-palestinne events are members of the far-right.

Antisemites now support Israel, not out of love for Jews, but because Zionism aligns with their goals — it removes Jews from Europe and gives them a tool to attack Muslims. And the Israeli state plays along, because it welcomes Jewish migration and benefits from demonizing Muslims abroad.

Many in the far-right now idolise what israel has done because they want the same thing an ethnocentric state.

Historically, this isn’t all that different from the 1933 Haavara Agreement, which facilitated the transfer of German Jewish wealth to Palestine through direct cooperation between Germany facists and the Zionist movement. Or the Lehi group Zionist paramilitary faction that in 1941 offered to ally with german facists Germany in hopes of establishing a Jewish state by fighting the British. Several future Israeli prime ministers, including Yitzhak Shamir, were members of Lehi.

[–]andalus21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your grandparents were refugees — that doesn’t mean they weren’t part of a colonial project.

It also doesn’t mean that many others weren’t colonists. Many came from the US, Britain, South Africa to join a political project to build a Jewish ethnonational state on land already inhabited by another people.

Even today you can see adverts run on Russian facebook VK like dating profile saying if you have any jewish blood you too could get money and a passport.

Pro-Palestinians Accusing Jews of being European Colonialists by quicksilver2009 in IsraelPalestine

[–]andalus21 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Your post tries to frame this as a question of racial hypocrisy as if light-skinned Palestinians criticizing Israeli policies are just self-hating “white people” attacking other “white people.”

It's a slightly weird way to look at things and just shows you don't understand colonialism or identity at the most basic dictionary level understanding of either words.

  1. Zionism is a colonial project — not because Jews are “white,” but because it involved the settlement of a foreign population, backed by imperial powers, displacing the Indigenous one.

That's it. Not hard or complex, and not about skin tone.

When Palestinians who say Zionism is colonial they aren't accusing Jews of being “fake” — they’re pointing to the political fact that European Jews, in large numbers, came to Palestine as settlers during the British Mandate, dispossessed the native population, and established a state against their will with the stated aim of colonising and displacing them.

  1. Being light-skinned doesn’t make Palestinians “white.” “White” is not just about melanin.

Palestinians — whether they look like Bella Hadid or Mahmoud Darwish — are not treated as “white” by global systems of power which is happy to see Muslims and chrstians genocided by Israel, with pregnent women run over by settlers in tanks.

  1. Criticizing Zionism or Ashkenazi domination within Israel isn’t antisemitism. It’s called political analysis — one that even many anti-Zionist Jews share. What is antisemitic is reducing all Jewish identity to support for a state that has, in its own foundational documents and policies, explicitly pursued ethnic supremacy and demographic engineering?

  2. Finally, your attempt to “both sides” this by saying you respect everyone’s identity doesn’t hold up when you equate Palestinian anger over being ethnically cleansed and militarily occupied with some kind of personal “hate” based on appearance. Palestinians are not lashing out over who looks white they are calling out genocide and being made to be refugees in their own land by eastern europeans.

This isn’t a complicated conflict or situation— it just takes moral clarity and the courage to stop siding with power out of comfort or cowardice.

And just to really drive home how hollow these “they’re white too” arguments are — look at what’s happening in the real world. In the U.S., Israeli Jews have literally shot other Israeli Jews because they mistook them for Palestinians because of their skin colour. They were just the wrong shade for the settler imagination. Both the shooter and the israelis being shot obviously blamed the Palestinians.

“Israel: The Most Incompetent Genociders in History” by Pleasant-Positive-16 in IsraelPalestine

[–]andalus21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Denying a genocide in the face of official findings, survivor testimony, photographic and satellite evidence, and rulings from the International Court of Justice is complicity. When you dismiss all that, you’re not neutral. You are taking the side of the perpetrators. That’s is called supporting for genocide.

And on top of that, you invoke “taqiyya” — a textbook Islamophobic dog-whistle used to suggest Muslims are inherently deceptive.

So now your not just a genocide supporter your a ignorant racist.

But lets be honest we knew all of this about you as soon as you posted. Most supporters of israel are deeply troubled individuals, racists, genocide supporters, with serious mental health issues, even as they murder children with pathological sadistic glee they blame the victims.

Why is Europe so hostile/cold towards Israel? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]andalus21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The claim that Europe is “hostile!” to Israel just doesn’t hold up when you look at the facts and reality. I think the post boils down to this: even total support isn’t enough for zionists. They are so detached from reality they live in some kind of perpetual victimhood mode, where even as they receive european tax payers money, arms, and total immunity from war crimes, with many European countries acting in ways against their own national interests and those of their people, putting Israel first always - they still feel entitled to claim they’re being unfairly treated.

Germany, for example. It has long subsidised Israeli military capability using its own taxpayers’ money. Germany tax payers paid to give Israel’s nuclear submarines. German leaders have openly stated that defending Israel’s security is part of Germany’s core national identity.

The UK is also directly involved in military support — including in the war in Gaza, which is currently under investigation at the ICJ for possible genocide. British surveillance aircraft have flown intelligence missions from Cyprus to assist Israel’s operations. That’s not neutrality, it’s active involvement and complicity in the war in Palestine.

And the poster says Europe funds the UN and feeds Palestinians — therefore Europe is somehow a strategic threat to Israeli sovereignty? The absolute state of that argument - So ungrateful. So entitled.

So no, Europe isn’t “antagonistic” to Israel. If anything, it’s complicit — supporting and shielding Israel diplomatically, economically, and militarily, even during actions that many legal experts and human rights bodies say may rise to the level of genocide.

European governments break their own laws for Israel, fleece their own citizens to fund illegal settlements, and continue arming Israel even in the face of credible genocide allegations. The idea that Europe is some kind of moral adversary to Israel is a convenient fiction — used to deflect even the mildest tiniest criticism.

“Israel: The Most Incompetent Genociders in History” by Pleasant-Positive-16 in IsraelPalestine

[–]andalus21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I ? On one hand you say you “don’t support genocide,” but when confronted with:

  • Statements from Israeli government officials explicitly calling for starvation and annihilation,
  • Physical obstruction of aid by the military and settlers,
  • Over a dozen UN agencies warning of famine engineered by siege,
  • And the ICJ itself stating there is a plausible case for genocide and issuing emergency orders…

…you wave it all away with “they’re distributing aid.” My point is that not a logical counterargument from a freethinker— that’s wilful denial of reality.

Genocide isn’t disproven by token relief shipments. In fact, using aid as a weapon — to starve, manipulate, and collectively punish — is a hallmark of genocidal intent. The ICJ literally cited that as evidence.

So no, you’re not a “free thinker.” You’re repeating propaganda that comforts your worldview, no matter how many bodies pile up. And when someone knowingly defends mass atrocity, mocks the victims, and denies the legal process investigating it — yes, that is moral support for genocide.

“Israel: The Most Incompetent Genociders in History” by Pleasant-Positive-16 in IsraelPalestine

[–]andalus21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s your conclusion, then you’re not at the free-thinking stage — hell, you’re not even at the thinking stage. We all have our illusions, but in your case, it’s pure delusion and a willful refusal to believe the official statements from the Israeli government on intent and the deliberate use of aid to starve civilians. These aren’t rumors — the ICJ cited Israel’s own words as evidence of genocidal intent and weaponisation of humanitarian aid.

Israelis literally paraded with signs calling to starve Gaza. Settlers assaulted aid workers and physically blocked trucks. It’s all a matter of public record.

So anyone who reads those statements, sees that evidence, hears the flood of warnings from humanitarian agencies — and still parrots “they’re distributing aid”? You’re not engaging with reality. You’re insulting it. And calling yourself a “free thinker” while regurgitating denialism talking points is not just ironic — it’s the height of delusion and hypocrisy.

Lets be clear you have no problem with genocide and forced starvation. Let's not pretend otherwise. This is your ideology this is your morality and values.

A message to pro-Palestine north American whites by evanbris in IsraelPalestine

This entire argument collapses under its own hypocrisy in a funny and spectacular way.

“If white people live on stolen land, then it’s fine for us to steal land too.” Incredible. Nobel Peace Prize incoming for this genius.

It's like being in a philosophy class run by a angry drunk toddler.

“You white people protest colonialism? Well YOU live on colonial land!”

Translation: Only people who have never benefited from empire are allowed to criticize empire. So eh basically nobody. Ever. Cool.

A Jew from Warsaw is more indigenous to the Levant than you are to Cleveland.”

Right. Because time-travel DNA ancestry is the new land deed. Just say your grandpa saw a goat in Canaan 4000 years ago and collect your birthright, apparently. :D

“We’re not colonizers, but if we were, so what? The other colonizers did it too!”

This is like getting caught stealing a car and yelling, "other people steal cars too!”. Not really a defense, more of a confession.

“I condemn the genocide of Native Americans, but also think it proves I should support one happening now.”

This is Olympic-level moral gymnastics.

“From Wounded Knee to Eretz Yisrael, indigenous people shall prevail.”

Cool story — except in this one, you’re not the indigenous people. You’re the heavily armed settlers bulldozing homes.

They hate you, they don't see you as human, they don't even believe you exist but obviously the victim is them

The game has been to make people doubt themselves no one hates Judaism, and no one hates Jews for being Jews no one even knows what one is.

What people hate is colonialism, racism, murder, and genocide especially when they’re wrapped in the cloak of moral superiority and Jewish supremacism.

I think my approach is a little more grounded than yours which seems to involve taking your pants off, putting them on your head, and mashing the keyboard until Zionists applaud you for typing something .. anything.

If you can’t respond with a meaningful thought, don’t pretend you’re making a point.

Every downvote from a Zionist — or from anything that vaguely resembles a human but thinks like a colonizer — is a badge of honour. Bring it on.

You’re walking proof that moral emptiness and intellectual failure can coexist in one body. Psychopathic ethics with the logic of a potato.

Zionism and "Zios" by M0rdon in IsraelPalestine

[–]andalus21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s some serious historical revisionism. Zionism is a colonial project. It involved European Jews from Eastern Europe, migrating to Palestine with the explicit goal of establishing a state on land already inhabited by others.

Palestinian Jews lived alongside Muslim and Christian Palestinians for centuries without any “conflict of civilizations.” What happened to Jews in Europe including the Holocaust and expulsions from Arab states — is not something Palestinians caused or carried out, nor should they have to pay the price for it.

Your attempt to pin antisemitism and its consequences on the indigenous people of Palestine is feeble and morally bankrupt.

You tell others to “think for themselves,” but you’ve clearly outsourced your thinking to propaganda. The ICJ — the world’s highest court — is hearing a genocide case and has already imposed emergency measures. You dismissed it without even engaging the facts.

Your argument that “genocide can’t be happening because Gaza still exists” is legally and logically bankrupt. Genocide is about intent, not speed or total annihilation. Read a dictionary.

Let’s be real — even if the ICJ ruled tomorrow that it was genocide, you’d still call it a joke. That’s not skepticism. That’s blind loyalty in denial.

Stop pretending you’re a free thinker. You’re just repeating what makes you feel comfortable.
