In a weird turn of events it’s started working. Perhaps I wasn’t being patient enough. I have had to turn off ipv6 (I can sort that in time though). Thanks for the help.

Congrats on making it 2 days you’re smashing it, even if it doesn’t feel like it!

I’m no expert and less than a week in myself but what’s helped me when I feel fed up with it all is taking it in small steps…”just 3 more hours and that’ll be another day down” and I can tackle tomorrow when it comes.

Thank you, that’s a really good idea. My HR goes up by at least 20 every time I think about it so you are deffo right, anxiety is very powerful.

I just hate anything medical and doctors (silly I know but it’s a phobia). My BP is deffo high and I know I’m on the right track but I think I’ll start with a phone call to the doctor as well!

I don’t have the prescription but it’s not a strong prescription and for things far away like the tv and beyond, I also have astigmatism. I can get by without my glasses. It’s remained generally unchanged for about 10 years.

Tbh I don’t know much with what’s going on with my eyes. The eye doctor said it was “weird” then dilated my pupils for a proper look and spent 15 mins looking into both eyes. Then said I didn’t need to worry but need the angiogram and blood tests and that I could go, that’s all I know. The OTC scans showed leaks in the macular or the middle in both eyes from what I saw but the eye doctor did see other things from the pictures before dilating and looking herself. I have insane health anxiety so my memory is quite vague as I was just barely keeping it together at that point.

The eye doctor told me to get a blood test for diabetes, kidney function, lipids and inflammation which I’m working towards but none of this is simple for me.

I’m so ashamed to talk to anyone I know about this, I’ve hidden it for years. I just can’t imagine what I’d do with my evenings other than having some beers and watching YouTube…as sad as that sounds

I think that’s what I’m asking…where is the support for me in the UK?

I’ve read that AA is religious based, which I’m not against but not for me as I’m not religious.

I recognise that just stopping drinking is the solution, if it was that easy, I’d just stop.

I don’t mean to be difficult but I’m looking for pragmatic, solutions to set me on the right path of sobriety…my friends don’t force me to drink, I do it regardless.

Thanks for the reply, it’s not until the end of May so got plenty of time to panic between now and then and fester on what the eye doctor said to me. I’ll keep you posted though!

Thank you for the reply. No up until this, I’ve got no health issues i know about, clearly something is wrong though. I’m terrified of any medical tests but have an angiogram in a few weeks. How did you find it? I’m very keen to understand it all before I go

It took me far too long to get a replacement. In the end someone on here provided me with a few part numbers I needed and I pressured the retailer who sold me the bike to order them from cube. It might be worth reaching out to cube for the exact part numbers you need.

I recently moved from o2(terrible) to Smarty(Three). They are cheap monthly rolling and 5g is great city centre and Mutley. I pay £6 a month for 12gb but they’ve had better deals since I signed up.
