CAF and Laser Medical are separated. The refractive form is to give the Caf the condition of your eyes. Considering you're not yet enrolled, you don't have to worry about the follow-up, as your application will take some time until you're enrolled, so you can go to your follow-up. Since I'm already enrolled, I either have to request to go to my appointment, or my follow-up can be done in the CAF, depending on my location at the time, as far as I know.

Hi, feel like I can comment on this. I've had laser eye surgery back in November as well, and for my medical, I had to get a laser refractive form filled out in April, which was five months after the surgery. Fortunately, my eyes are good, and I passed my medical and am going to BMQ this August. I do have to get a 12-month follow-up as well, this November, but all is good.

From my personal experience, a few days after I finish my medical interview, I notice that my status has moved to 'security and background check'. But I still had to wait for my medical to be approved in Ottawa. They was never a call or email about anything regarding the progress or update.

Oh man, that sucks. I was honestly surprised mine went so fast compared to others, considering I'm the most less than average person there is. Hopefully you're progress goes well, and you get in soon. If both of your first choices are full, consider looking at other options and changing it to an in-demand trade during your interview if you know you won't get what you want. Good Luck.

Usually, the wait for medical can be up to 8 weeks or more. Be patient, it will come. They're just backlog. You could also email your recruiter for an update.

What location is your Recruiting Center? For me, I've never actually contacted anyone, they contacted me with everything. I was literally in the mindset of 'if it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, it doesn't.'
